This has been such a stupid array of bad procedures and local posturing. The only reason Bright Star is a "high speed road" is because nobody writes any speeding tickets there. When people complained about the speeding through the school zone how did our local authorities respond? By removing the school zone. Dumb dumb DUMB.

By far the DUMBEST thing I have read is the "reason" this intersection doesn't deserve a traffic light. Not enough traffic? If that's the case, why the complex traffic light system on the other end of the 4-land road?

And they plan to add the other lanes in a couple of months?

This really should wake everybody up about highway 92 and demonstrate the need for a proper up-front study (instead of this crony-generated crap they delivered for the Bright Star connector).

It's taken them going on four years to build and open a two or three mile road. The World War 2 generation could have built that road in four days.
