Justice for Danny!!!!

The War On Drugs has a new casualty, Danny Hammett, 60, of Hiram. Police with warrant in hand invaded his home and shot him dead in his hallway on the "suspicion" of drugs. Hearing loud noises of people breaking into his home, he armed himself with a small can of pepper spray. The end result was him being riddled with bullets by three officers who didn't like the speed that he raised his hands as ordered. It's time for the people of this country to stand up to this insanity!!!!!!!!!! Who's next? Your father or mother or child.

Justice for Danny Hammett !!!!!!!!!!

One less druggie!

Go cops!

This is what should be done with all drug dealers/users!

Excellent job by the police!

I thank you all for muck you all have to deal with everyday. It must not be easy to deal with scum all the time. Now, there's one less jack leg to deal with!

They were there legally and when you are confronted by the police, you obey commands and don't make violent actions towards them.

Kill'em All and let God sort them out!!!!!!!!!!

To Mr. Semper Fi, maybe you need to get your facts straight before you start running your mouth.

Since when is it against the law to have a legal prescription written by a doctor to help relieve arthritis pain.

Maybe one day, one of your family members will wrongfully be shot and killed by police officers, or maybe it will be you.

You sicken me and made an ass of your self while doing it.

Set me straight, give me the details. Oh, you can't because you know jack $h!t!

It's not illegal to have prescriptions.

However if you are alleging that the police went in his house for the prescriptions, then it's quite clear that he was selling them, which is illegal!

You make an ass of yourself by defending a suspected drug dealer.

I do know the facts. I worked with Danny Hammett everyday for the past year. He repoed cars for me. He did not sell drugs, yet he used them to help ease his arthritis.

Check out the most recent news. They found NO evidence that drugs were being sold out of his house. He hada can of pepper spray since his door to his home had been knocked down. His son said that Danny Hammett was shot not once but 3 times. Is that over kill?

When raiding a home, officers wear bullet proof vests carry shields and sometimes have shields over their faces.

You makean ass out of your self by defending over agressive officers. I hope they pay for the rest of their lives for taking an innocent man's life.

"Danny Hammett served a little more than two years in prison for methamphetamine and marijuana possession in the late 1990s."

What kind of arthritis can be eased with methamphetamine? I can see the pot helping with pain, but not meth. What was this outstanding citizens excuse for the two year prison sentence he served?

Sounds like you should drug test your employees and maybe try a back ground check.

The cops use shields so drug dealing thugs don't shoot them in the head while trying to protect their stash.

said the fat little nerd who always got beat up in school. You're the stereotypical republiKKKan coward. Never facing anyone and putting up a legitimate argument. You just stand on the sidelines and whine in your little Momma's boy voice... "are you going to let him say that to you?" lmao

John Q Law? lmao. So let me get this straight. If I don't get a hard-on when I see a thug with a badge like you do, that makes me a felon? Wow, with logic like that, you must be a Willard supporter. I'm guessing you're also a security guard at the mall who wants so deperately to be a real tax collector with blue lights.

straight from the AJC : Henson said agents found “evidence … within the residence that would indicate drug trafficking.”

When serving a search warrant officers have to look at suspects hands beacuse it is the hands that will kill you. When a suspect has something shinny and black in his or her hands, you are in a dark hallway, you only have a split second to make a decision about that object in the hand. Can that object kill me or not. You give verbal commands for the suspect to drop the object and if he or she does not, you have to protect your self. If the suspect raised the object in an agressive manor at the officers they would have no choice but to stop that action.

No matter how you look at this, if the suspect had complied he would be alive.

What I find odd is how screwed up our priorities are. In the war zone, like afganistan, the rules of engagement dictate that you can't fire until fired upon.

Here, the cops shoot first and ask questions later.

Seems a little backwards to me.

If you are within your lawful duty and you give a command for someone to drop a weapon and they do not, you have to make a decision on a split second.

If you wait for them to fire first, yo will be killed or injured very bad.

I have been shot in the line of duty. The drunk driver shot me first. In just 4 seconds 8 rounds had been fired, I went to grady and the suspect wad dead.

Lt. Dan, you just do not understand what you speak.
