This is by far the worst lawyer you could get! RUN! He actually worked for the other party in our situation, we would have done better with no lawyer at all. He is sneaky and coniving and can not be trusted. It took him two yrs to even get us to court and then do nothing for us but screw us over. I do not know how he sleeps at night!

Donít blame a defense attorney when you are the one who screwed up. They are not meant to be magic workers and get you the oj defense. They are there to interpret the law so your dumb ass does not drown yourself any further than you did in the first place. Yes, you have to be held accountable for what you do wrong. A defense attorney is merely there to minimize the damage to your dumb ass because you probably want to speak for yourself in the first place.

Nope the worst lawyer in Dville by far is Ed Murray.... Never ever ever use this man. He will take your money and not do anything with your case & don't call you back. He is awful

i would suggest you use any lawyer outside of Douglas County. All of the lawyers in Dville are right up under the Da's & judges arses & the kiss the heck out of it. Try one out of any other county...maybe even a few counties away

www.martindale.com is the best place to find a peer review on any attorney before you retain them.

Chris Wynn has a very strong reputation in the local legal scene, particularly in the criminal defense arena. He used to be a prosecutor and knows the ins and outs of the Douglasville legal scene. The bottom line is the Judges in Douglas County are all very harsh sentencers. If someone got a harsh sentence, probably not much Mr. Wynn or any lawyer could have done about it.
There are lawyers out there who will sound good but basically just take your money. They know far less than the public defenders about actual criminal law and usually end up calling them to get advice. Of course, Douglas County has a very good Public Defender's Office so not really a bad idea for lawyers to contact them sometimes to get some inside scoop.
As for outside lawyers, I disagree. Local lawyers typically get a better response from the Judges than Atlanta lawyers. Not always as some Atlanta lawyers have great reputations with the bench but many others are not favorites. Several prominent Atlanta lawyers will hire local lawyers on big cases to help with their client's case.

If he was so bad, why didn't you get another lawyer? Your complaint make no sense at all?!?!?!? Why didn't YOU run???? Lastly, what kind of case took 2 years to get to court????? I don't get it???? Who was he "working for" or do you have the guts to respond; so far I don't see you stepping up to the plate.....

if someone got a harsh sentence, then maybe they should have kept their ass out of trouble and they would NOT have had to been there

This guy represented someone we took to court, we won. He seemed lost in the courtroom. It was sad to see! Isn't he an estate attorney? He represented the other party in our case as a favor I heard. Thanks but no thanks.

he is a real p.o.s attorney. He took our retainer money and never heard from him again until a year later when we finally got a court date... but then told us we still owed him money. He was horrible & lied to us from the get go. It's not suprising he seemed lost in the courtroom because he proabaly didn't know anything about the case. I really wished he would be reported to the GA Bar assoc. he was that bad

I retained him to represent me on 4 counts of drug trafficking. After an extended jury trial, Mr. Wynn got me an aquittal on all four counts. I walked away after the State threw everything they had at me. After serving time in a federal prison, because I hired some "Atlanta" lawyer, there is no question that Mr. Wynn knew what he was doing. The most interesting part, while awaiting my trial, he came and visited with me on Christmas Eve. So yeah, sounds like a terrible lawyer to me...

So there is no confusion, when I posted, I was referring to Ed Murray and not Chris Wynn.
