My next kid party is going to be at Deerlick -- rent the pavilion for $25, 1 or 2 rounds of putt-putt for everybody. They can show off their skateboarding skills at the skateboard park. We'll grill some burgers, maybe make homemade ice cream.

They can get just as loud and rambunctious as they want, and my house will still be clean afterwards!

Avoid Chuck E Cheese on the weekends. It becomes a free for all of rude black children and their rude black parents. Sorry folks, call me a racist if it makes you feel better, but those of us who have tried to take our children there on the weekends knows all too well what that place turns into. Monkey Joe's is slightly better but it's run by thugs who stand around glaring at you as if you were invading their turf. Who needs this crap?
I don't know how old this is but I just had to say that you are displaying ignorance at its best.

I am just bewildered by the ignorance of some of these racist comments. Just as you've probably encountered some rude blacks and their kids, I have encountered rude whites and their kids, as well as unsupervised latino kids. So how dare you and anyone else proclaim to have the perfect race. No race is cookie-cutter. People behave as they know, and not everyone is brought up the same.

Shame on you Molly. You are racist! Do not ever apologize for your attitude. Call it like it is and those you choose to discriminate against will know exactly where you stand.

It's not the color of skin that makes children insolent it's their parents. I actually find that a lot of white parents do not discipline their children and allow them to talk back and they become the rude children who cause problems and can't listen to authority.

Monkey Joe's in Douglasville is the worst. The manager ignored my complaints and blew it off. There's no free outlets to plug in laptops, but they have wifi? The tvs don't even work. 1/2 the parent area is inaccessible yet the parents are unable to play with their children? Bathrooms were disgusting. I would never go back!
LOL this just may be the reason why they are no longer open. Give bad service and it'll eventually affect your business.

Check out Circle A Barn on Ephesus Church Rd. The kids ride ponies and play games. There is an air conditioned room with a TV and kitchen to serve your food.

I actually read in Chapel Hill News where Monkey Joes is no longer there. Apparently completely non-affiliated new owners have replaced Monkey Joes with another place, cannot remember the name, but they have neater stuff for even older kids - laser tag, some sort of "magnetic" climbing walls. Looks pretty cool.

I don't care for Chucky Cheese but I think rude kids come in all colors along with the parents. And for the record my daughter & son are black and are very well behaved children. I have been told this many times over the years.

Maybe you went to the wrong location, or maybe you were rude and received the same behavior. I recently went to chuckee cheese and everyone of different ethnicities had smiles on there faces. Even when complaining about the games not working. Its just wrong to classify a race by a person(s). Monkey Joes was awesome as well, and I never saw any thugs watching me. You know they say you attract what you are. Think about it.
