I am guessing TABATHA is BLACK.SHe will have afrosheen stand as you come in and a life szize mural of martin luther king on the wall.A fried chicken stand outside and rap music playing on the speaker.I wonder tabatha gets her welfare check and food stamps and helps decorate?

Your guess would be incorrect Douglasville Dad. I was embarrassed for them while watching last night. The woman that is the salon manager dressed like she should be at family picnic not a business.

They kept making it sound like Douglasville is this small backwoods town where everyone knows their business. I've been here for a long time and have never heard of the salon.

Tabetha put a lot into the place during the renovation. I hope they can turn it around and make it successful.

I am so embarrassed that that was shown. It made Douglasville seem like it is full of uneducated, redneck dingbats. Also, all the paint and decor in the world won't make up for bad cuts and inferior archaic color techniques. I do wish them well but if they don't know simple things like the difference between high and low (highlights and lowlights) I don't have a ton of confidence.

At least the people in this salon didn't spend time screaming and cursing across the shop like some of the other episodes have shown

The fact he blindly went into a racist rant further proves the inbred hick theory.

So Tabatha said in the AJC article she didn't know why her staff quit a few years ago. Some guy commented that she sure does know why they left and why they started their salon. So my question: why did the veteran hair cutters leave and what salon did they start

The Veteran hairdressers just wanted out of the craziness and it was not a walk out. Two of the stylist left and the other 4 were asked to leave by Pat through manager Tracy. They did not open a salon, but they are all at the same place and it is calm, quiet, and professional...so different from where they left. I am not one of the stylist, but am close to all 6 that left and they are happy and their customers are happy and that is all that matters. They all wish Pat the best.

Are they all at Cuttin Edge now?

They are by the Asia Buffet. It is a lot cleaner building and more upscale than Pat's. I had a bad experience with a highlight burning off A LOT of my hair so I won't go back, but it was clean there. I did see 1 of the 6 for a year prior to my bad dye job with no issues so my experience might have just been a fluke. (I just can't do that again or I'll end up bald and pissed)

Well the women at Cuttin Edge are all very similar to what I saw on the Tabitha Takes Over show. They don't acknowledge you when you go in and do not go out of the way to make you feel welcome once they do acknowledge you. My son and husband both go there and love it. I guess if you aren't a man they can flirt with or an old time regular your money isn't good enough for them. I would love to find a good salon around here.

"I am guessing TABATHA is BLACK." Ever google someone for reference so you don't sound like a podunk sheet wearing rube?? But I suspect you're used to sounding like that. You need to remove yourself from the face of the earth, you're a waste of space.

That's terrible. Do you think they burned your hair intentionally for some weird reason? Maybe they thought you were "playing on the other team." Being the victim of passive-aggressiveness bites, if that's the case, or maybe it was just coincidence. I would be pissed, too!

Don't make a fool of yourself by making comments about a show you've never watched. She is white and comes in to struggling hair salons and helps them revamp their salons and re-train employees if needed. She is very no nonsense type person. Your "guessing" just shows what an ignorant person you are.

No, she had done my hair for a while. I have a very dark brown natural color and I like highlights in it. If you don't process me the right amount it stays very red/orange looking. She knew she made it too orange but I was in a rush so she told me to come back at the end of the week and she would fix it. I came back and she was having a bad day and I guess forgot about me. Most of the hair she reprocessed fell out.
I didn't go back but to her defense almost all of the places I go around here can't seem to keep the brass color out of my hair. I guess I need to just learn to like that color or find a top salon in another county that knows how to do it right. I give up on Douglas County hair places.:-(
