To add to the post about woodland. After one resigns form the horribly run place. They give you bad references and lie about you. I do not understand why the state does not close this place down. The ED only wants to be center of attention works from home alot. This place refuses to permit overtime at the exspense of the residents. They make the salaried employees work obscence amount of hours with no extra pay. Stay the hell away from this company. All they care about is the might dollar and the residents do not get the care they are paying top dollar for.

I worked at woodland terrace in Allentown PA. All godd neighborcare cared about was keeping overtime down at the exspense of the residents. The pay is low and they expect the car managers to clean, bus tables, wait tables etc. People quit on a daily basis because of the way they are treated. The memory care unit is a joke the coordinater walks around all day and yells at the staff. Do not work there or put a family memeber there
I agree I work for them to and it's a joke for the residents and staff we haven't gotten a raise when we complain they the retaliate they have staff members that mess up on meds all the time this company is all about money they DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR FAMILY MEMBER AT ALL..

I am the Executive Director of River Point of Kerrville which is managed by GNC. I am reading all of these comments as one of my prospects told me these were here. I have been an employee of GNC for a little over a year. I have not had any problems with the Corporate staff, resident care is top priority, and I can't see blaming corporate for something that took place in a particular building. I am held accountable for what goes on in my building as I should be. I can't address issues that happened prior to my coming to work for the company, but I can assure you I have heard the same issues and allegations against every other Management Company and Long Term Care Facility in the country. Hopefully, if you see a problem in a community where your loved one resides you will immediately bring it to the attention Director. I am just suggesting that you hold the people who are directly responsible for the care of your loved one accountable. If you do not feel you have been heard by the Director, then report it to the Corporate Office.

To your response Janice I visit your facility often and I'm sorry but a lot of these comments are true your assisted living side is always on their phones or just standing around and your memory care side good lord these poor people those workers are never to be found always swearing infront of the residents they never pay attention to them they don't get fed well at all and your chef that's a whole other story you do have some good workers but they seem to be the ones who get overworked and treated badly so no wonder you can't get new residents

I am sorry but I totally agree with the last comment. Every time I have been in the River Point building the staff was on there cell phones. There never seems to be any activities going on. Instead of the staff sitting around a desk all day gossiping they should be getting the residents involved in some kind of activity. The language I hear the staff use makes me sick! I know a lot has been reported to Management and nothing seems to get done about the staff issues. Im just glad I dont have a family member at Riverpoint. As much as these ppl pay things should be way different!

thank you it's true I'm glad that I'm not the only one who sees it and to the comment about all places are like this well shouldn't y'all be trying to make a change and stop worrying about budget and worry about weeding out the bad I have seen two young lady's up there bless their hearts that are always working double shifts and one day when I walked in the lobby had several people in it and one of the office staff was talking very rude to her I don't know how she kept her composure I would have quit right then if it wasn't for the residents I would not even go to this facility with my services I just hope they don't loose their good workers

I work at the Mckinney texas location. The director there is the rudest person I have ever worked for. She is always speaking negative to not only staff but I have seen her yelling at residents too. She had a Christmas party where few staff members appeared because she treats the staff so poorly. I heard her using the n word about another manager outside the party after that manager made her mad that night. I have heard her speaking poorly about this manager often. She beats up on her managers every morning and then sends them out to deal with us and expects them to be nice when she never is. The moral was better when there was no director. She treats the care staff like we don't matter. I know for sure that family members have given her letters saying what a great job my co workers are doing and given it to her but she has never told them they are doing a great job but she is always telling us what we are doing wrong. She never trys to build our team but she spends a lot of time trying to make sure we are always fighting with each other. There is usually only 3 of us on staff at a time and we have a lot of residents to care for but she could care less about how we feel or worst yet how the residents feel.

Wow--- Just so you know- whoever did feel compelled to write this -is completely off course with their knowledge. You really need to be very careful to make those types of acqusations- as it is those untruths that are only not a unethical way to represent yourself but also immoral to lying about those comments.I have never seen or heard this person make any negative comments about any manager or any other team player in this community. I was also there that evening and truth be told the manager you are talking about was the one who made comments unjustifiably-and they called themselves a manager!!! Keep in mind before writing these words- make sure you really know what you are talking about--because all of what you said sounds like you either got terminated yourself or reprimmanded for something that you did. The ED there has been supportive and has went out of her way to make sure everyone will be happy and feel suportive. And- there is a long line that has respect for her here. So -please move on to something else and realize this is not a place to be venting..
