They compromised on the debt ceiling.
They compromised on the fiscal cliff.
They gave Obama the tax increase he wanted.

You are correct. What the Republicans have done is to give into Obama every time. That is doing nothing for America.
When Obama says he wants compromise he actually means that he wants everything done exactly his way. The so called Republicans have led this country down the path to destruction by compromising away our national security, economic security, privacy, freedom, and our Constitution. Most of the older 2 terms or more Republicans are RINO's. They couldn't care less about the principles of freedom and conservatism.

You know what, Bigdave? You are 100% correct. You stated it very well. When I argue with the libs, I'm not defending the republicans. I am TRYING to defend our way of life and our freedom of choice. The republicans presently in congress are worthless.

Imagine what it would be like today if Democrats had retained control of the House in 2010, meaning their greatest accomplishments were the many victories of the elections of 2010.

So far the majority of Republicans have been selling us out. They are politicians and are not patriotic to our country. They are greedy socialist liberals hiding in the clothes of a conservative. They usually give the liberals what they want. They make stupid comments and say things that hurt the Republican party. They always fall behind and do not make any effort to defend conservative ideas. Most seem to be secret members of the Democratic party and end up helping the Democrats vote in every piece of legislation that the Democrats want. They always Compromise by giving into at least a part of what the Democrats want, knowing the Democrats will be back soon for more. The Republicans seem to always pick the worse possible people to run for President. The list goes on and I am sure you Topix readers can add many more things which are also obvious.
In other words, we have been sold out.
Say what you will, the Tea Party at this time may be the most honest, and patriotic in the U.S. It is hated by the news media, the Democrats, liberals, socialist, communists, and by many of the elite in the Republican party. That alone should be a clue to tell you something.

I am hard core conservative. I'm not applauding the Republicans. Someone asked about what they have accopmlished. They have all but stopped Obama's agenda. At this point nothing else matters, except for the 2014 elections. I really don't care if the Republicans accomplish anything else.

How have the republicans stopped the Obama Administration? The sequester is the first time the Republicans have actually stopped Obama's Agenda and I think that may be what Obama wanted anyway. The Republicans have caved every time and it has turned this country into a broken socialist country with no jobs for its people.
BTW I am a conservative but I am also a hard core realist.
The Republicans are no longer conservatives and haven't been for quite awhile.

A better question might be, "What has the POTUSA accomplished in a POSITIVE sense since 2010?" I think he's accomplished a LOT, but very little, if anything, positive...

Thank you Bill, that pretty much covers my thoughts to R.E.Lee.
It does make me laugh that when I think of what bad shape this country is in and all an Obama supporter can say is "well he got Bin Laden". LOL

1) I'm not an Obama supporter
2) I didn't realize the quest was to uncover every positive thing the President has accomplished so I mentioned the *biggest*(IMO of course)

If anything can unite the country it's celebrating the death of OBL.

The fact that you want to belittle this makes me wonder if you're a terrorist sympathizer.

This country can't survive and be prosperous just by going out and killing pieces of sh*t. It needs some great leadership which we are not getting right now. I don't think those thoughts makes me a terrorist sympathizer but makes me a realist.
Killing people is easy compared to fixing our broken country.

But the question wasn't "what will make the country survive and be prosperous?" but "what positive has the POTUSA done since 2010?"

If you only want answers to the first one, the question should be framed that way.

Do you see the elimination of OBL as a positive or not?

Of course it was positive but to hear the story told it was as if Obama had actually gone in there with his weapon in hand and shot Bin Laden himself. The whole strategy for hunting down and killing Bin Laden was started by George Bush. It ended up happening under Obamas administration and the deed was done by heroic U.S. Navy Seals.
One thing I give do Obama credit for is knocking off the top Terrorist leaders by using drones or whatever means necessary.
All of this is to no avail if Obama does not seize the opportunity to get this economy going and quit trying to change this country into something that it was never meant to be or none of it will matter at all.

If you want to blame Obama for the bad stuff you have acknowledge he's also responsible for good stuff. You can't cherry pick and say "bad stuff - all Obamas fault... good stuff - other peoples work"

For example - ordering the raid on OBL = good. Allowing drones to kill US citizens without trial = bad.

See how liberating it can be to step out of party lines.
