There is an open bounty on Coyotes and you can shoot them, just can't shoot in subdivisions and in the city limits.

I saw one a few months ago standing on the side of I20 at the Bremen exit at about 7:45 in the morning. Apparently, they are plentiful.

We are also near Fairburn Rd. A few weeks ago a coyote did that really loud cry right outside the bedroom door about midnight. Scared the beejesus out of me. I checked to make sure the cats were in the house and went back to bed. Over the years several cats have disappeard from the neighborhood and we all assumed the coyotes got them. About 2 years ago a nice big, healthy looking coyote crossed the back yard while I was sitting drinking a cup of coffee on the back deck in broad daylight.

Hmmmm....We have friends that live down 166 past Fouts Mill. I was leaving their house the other night and we heard this very loud screech-croaking noise.

We first thought it might be an owl because it was obvious whatever was making the noise was moving rather quickly. However, we have since discovered the noise came from a fox marking his/her territory. We found a link online with audio of foxes, and it sounded just like what we heard.

I didn't know foxes were capable of a noise like that.

I live near Lithia Springs High School....for years we would see coyotes and foxes as well as racoons and bunnies galore plus deer. Now we see a bunny every now and then, but everything else has flown the coop.

One night last fall, there was a coyote standing in my driveway when I arrived home. It ran away as my car got closer. Also, around that same time except during the day, I was mowing the lawn close to the street and a lady drove up beside me and told me to be careful because she had just seen a coyote up the street.

There are many coyotes in Carroll County. Last I heard you could hunt them 365 days a year and no limit.

no they won't go 'after' humans. ok well a child, i don't know. but they generally prey on animals smaller than them. small dogs and cats. keep your cats indoors and don't let your small dog out unattended. the coyotes have been seen before dusk. animal control cannot really eliminate all "natures" animals. it's like birds, snakes and squirrels. they are here and you can't "control" them.
the coyotes are being run out of their natural woods enviroment by all the building of new businesses. they have no where else to go. hence they are in your neighborhoods. be safe and keep your pets safe.

If you feed any stray animal 3 days the law says it is yours.I trapped some stary cats and it took them three days to show up and they did nothing but let them go in front of me.they are a waste of your money. The humane society ,did a better job and cost half as much .check it out they spend twice as much for half the not feed anything that is not yours .they came and got my goats and left the stray cats so i take care of them on my own .
You're surely not talking about the Douglas County Humane Society?

I saw one in the Kingswood subdivision. It had it's two front paws in the air since the mob of young black males was holding him at gunpoint and taking his wallet...
