Saw 2 coyotes in neighborhood near chapel hill high school/holly springs today at noon. Anybody seen them in other places? Any problems with them approaching humans? Worried about son leaving son in yard now to play.
Will animal control set traps in Douglas County?

You might contact animal control and ask them to set traps.

i have heard them around 3 am sometimes. i don't know if animal control will set the traps for you but they will rent the traps out to you to set on your property. and if you catch something they make you provide food water and shelter for it until they can transport it.

I live on yancey rd and we have seen them. We've had two cats come up missing. We think coyotes got them. We live in the woods.

I've seen coyotes in downtown Douglasville about 2 in the morning. There are several that live in town and seem to be very healthy living off what ever they can hunt (cats, dogs and mice).

there is a pack of them that roam in the chapel hill h.s/holly springs area. they woke us up at 2am the other night in our back yard howling and looking for food. they mostly are nocternal and will not approach people.... best just to leave them alone. make sure your cats and small dogs are inside. the person who saw the cougar at applebees..thats too funny. she was looking for her long lost cub.

I saw them in Chapel Hills as well. I spoke with an Animal control officer and he said they cannot set traps in a residential area. There is a certain type trap for coyotes. He told me to shoot them.

I lived on Hwy 166 near Chapel hill Rd up until around a year ago and would see them all the time. I acutaly had two of my dogs get caught up in a pack of Coyotes. Both dogs about died from injures. Neither dog was agressive and wanted to see what the coyotes were doing and the fight started. My dogs lost the fight needless to say and it cost me alot of money!!!

If you feed any stray animal 3 days the law says it is yours.I trapped some stary cats and it took them three days to show up and they did nothing but let them go in front of me.they are a waste of your money. The humane society ,did a better job and cost half as much .check it out they spend twice as much for half the service.do not feed anything that is not yours .they came and got my goats and left the stray cats so i take care of them on my own .
