i am a retired high school teacher. i know how cruel kids can be to each other. brett has been bullied relentlessly for years. any child who cries himself to sleep is hurting. he wrote about how he might stop the pain. he planned how he could hurt those who have hurt him so deeply. he is powerless.why punish the child who has already suffered enough? what about the bullies? where are their consequences? i know how to handle this situation once and for all. read my book, please!

Hi Mary! I totally agree with you! I am an advocate for those that are bullied. I wrote a comment as well. I wish that there was more that we could do about this situation, so unfair! Thanks for your post!

Any child that watches this and does nothing is just as guilty. There is still a huge bullying problem in crivitz.

While the young man may have felt bullied, that does not justify his actions that he wanted to play out. He still needs to be held accountable for his actions as well.

I came across your comments while lookibg for something else and I agree with your statements..yet to this day(2015/16 school year)..no real changes have been done..why?? Are they waiting for a frustrated teen to loose control so they (school administrators) can say "well we didn't know or this was an isolated incident". When will the district take their blinders off & make a true effort towards the needed changes? At this speed & with their attitude probably when its to late (I.e. Columbine)
