God disagrees with you. The Bible uses the union of two MEN to define marriage.

You are overlooking the critical element of marriage: "The souls of two people become knit as one and they make a covenant with God as their witness"

Translation: Two people *sharing* undying; unconditional; eternal; everlasting *love* committing to live their lives together until death they are parted.

Apparently they "compliment" each other very well!
Marriage isn't about having children. That argument has been tried and failed many times. There are many options for a homosexual couple to have children, including adoption of a child that a heterosexual couple gave up.
It should be equal, it can be equal, and it will be equal.

Natural law would seem to disagree with you. There are many animals that exhibit both heterosexual and homosexual behaviors.

If you will read what Jesus told us about eunuchs (men who are impotent with women) you will know that some of us are not made to produce children of our own. Our purpose is to provide caring homes for orphaned/unwanted children and to be loyal servants in houses of Kings.

Exactly, and in this country even if you live your own life by "God's law" (assuming that is the same for every group), we treat each other according to man's law.

Not everyone interprets God's law the same, many do not believe in the same god or gods and many do not even believe in god.

my opinion is, if marriage is not about having children, why get married?
it is one thing if you get married and find out you cannot have them after the fact, but why get married for any other reason? seems like lots of people are not getting married and having kids anyway. so why? you can keep a monogamous relationship for many years without getting married - lots of people seem to be doing it.
i do not support gay marriage - sorry, but that's me. also sorry you do not like it, but I am not into all this "progressive" stuff.

One could say something like, "You look nice in that dress," or "I love what you've done with your hair." And the other could reply, "Thanks, love, and by the way, that cake you baked us last night was delicious."
