Sagittarius is right, by the way. The News Times is creating a problem for this guy. Again, I do NOT defend his actions, what he did was/is wrong, however the NT printing this article is not borderline harassment, it is straight up hateful harassment. The man registered like he is supposed to. He registered his WORK address as well as his home address. He is not claiming to LIVE at the mall. It really burns my britches (like that one?) when someone distorts the truth just to belittle someone else. It's understandable that people are going to get a little worked up over this. I'm a LOT worked up over it. I know what it can look like from Sutton's point of view (somewhat). I've been on the receiving end of false allegations, and once that idea is put on the table, people desperately want to believe it, to the point that a detective (in my case) helped my accuser create a story. I got a transcript of their "interview". It was 71 pages of:
DETECTIVE: "this happened, then that happened, then this, right?"
ACCUSER: "no, he wasn't there at that time"
DETECTIVE: "you were there, he was there, so & so was there... RIGHT???
ACCUSER: "yes, but..."
DETECTIVE:(interrupting) "bla bla whatever"
He distinctly, definitely manipulated the story to make his case.
Anyway, again I ramble...
The guy did exactly what he was supposed to, and the rag news times wants to crucify him.

Luckily, it seems the child is ok with neighbors like you. Imagine how incredibly common the same situation is withOUT neighbors like you.
I don't understand how a parent can be this way. I realize she is a single mom and there is one older child and one baby besides this 8 year old. I would never let my granddaughter just go to someone's house without speaking with the parents personally; I didn't let my daughter either when she was even in her teens.

How can someone let their kids hang out with people they've never met? I would have to know the parents personally as well as meet the kids. It's not that hard to pay attention to what your kids are doing. I guess some people just don't bother. Then when something happens, they're pointing their fingers at everybody but themselves. AND, it seems to me that the more noise & finger pointing someone does, the more they are hiding. They're just trying to divert the attention that should be focused on them, to someone else.

This is such a biased article when it starts out, but at least the real truth is told when the writer gives the statistics about the offenders people don't know about because they have not acted yet-- and these are usually family members and other trusted adults.
Why didn't the school research where they were sending these school children beforehand? It is just another example of the very adults who are supposed to be protecting our children not doing just that.
This Victoria's Secret employee is doing what he is supposed to yet he's being publicly shamed by the article.
I am surprised at the liberal East Coast for such reactionary editorializing. Sounds more like something from the white bread middle America.
Granted, not all sex offenders are equally dangerous. However, this guy transmitted pictures of children engaged in sex acts. He's working in a venue that thousands of children visit. Obviously, Victoria's secret uses sex as a powerful marketing tool. This should raise some red flags.
I don't think the answer is to throw out the sex offender laws. I would have more sympathy if the guy were an eighteen year old who had sex with his willing fifteen year old girlfriend.
Child porn is different. Remember, the children in those pictures are re-victimized each and every time some creep looks at them.

Where would it be okay for this man to work? When I think of Victoria's Secret, I don't think of a place for kids so I guess I'm puzzeled. This guy has done nothing wrong at this point. He is working at a job.

Thousands of children visit the mall, how many go into V.S.? Unattended? PLUS his place of employment is on the list because he lives in New York & works in Connecticut. Imagine how many Connecticut sex offenders work in the mall & it's not registered at all? This poor guy is the LEAST of anybody's worries.

Hello out there. Does anyone know if this guy got fired from VS? Did the store end up closing because of the boycott? Ha! Has this guy sued the NewsTimes for harrassment?

I used to shop there and the man was a pervert and a harasser. I knew girls who worked there and he would ask them out and buy them underwear-gross.
I really hope DPS follows up on the sex registery list and stays on top of these guys

the answer is easy if they so much as look at any of the children i know// i kill'em with my bare hands.//not call police so they can put them in a program and turn them loose to prey on the kids again and again//this is the worse type of crime worse than murder//these kids have to live with that the rest of their lives with that memory//i cant believe that people defend these scum ///who is defending the kids ////all sex offenders repeat//why let them live kill them, cuase the police protect them//ct has the death penalty but doesn't use it ,, just kill them!!!!!
