State police arrest Potsdam man for driving while intoxicated following property damage accident

Tuesday, October 8, 2013 - 11:14 am

POTSDAM – A Potsdam man faces several charges for resisting arrest while being arrested for driving while being intoxicated after a property-damage accident Tuesday morning on U.S. Hwy. 11, according to state police.

Darik M. Bradish, 19, was charged at 1:12 a.m. with first-offense DWI, resisting arrest, unlawful possession of alcohol of a person under 21, refusal to take a breath test, and leaving the scene of a property damaging accident, troopers said

He was additionally charged with disorderly conduct, operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate, and failure to use a designated lane, police said.

He was released on appearance tickets returnable at a later date, according to troopers.

This kid needs to pull his head out of his butt hopefully this is the wake up call he needs to realize there is bigger & better ways to live put down the alcohol & make a better life for himself it's a sad family cycle hopefully he can break away from that cycle but it will only happen if he chooses it to happen. Sometimes we have to fall hard before we realize this isn't how we want to live a word of advice to the family you can't always be there to pick him up & bail him out something's he has to do on his own time to start practicing tough love with this kid or he well never put the brown bottle down

Potsdam man charged with drunk driving at more than twice legal limit at McDonald's drive-thru

POTSDAM – A Potsdam man was arrested early Saturday morning for aggravated driving while intoxicated after a McDonald’s employee alerted Potsdam police to a possibly intoxicated driver in the drive-thru.

Darik M. Bradish, 19, was charged at 4:28 a.m. with aggravated DWI for having a blood alcohol content of .18 or higher and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, police said.

Officers said they were investigating a separate incident when an employee advised patrols of an intoxicated driver in the drive-thru.

Police made contact with the driver and believed him to be intoxicated, officers said.

Bradish was transported to the police station where his BAC level was rvealed to be .18 percent. The legal limit is .08 percent.

He was also discovered to have a revoked driving license upon being processed, police said.

He was released on appearance tickets returnable to Potsdam Village Court Jan. 17 at 9:30 a.m., officers said.
