Complete screw up of our education system. The issue really isn't the education system as much as it is a societal lack of interest in truly being educated.

the common core system is for the birds. It shouldn't take over three hours for a grade school child to the 8th grade and so on to do their math home work. It is stupid and why should the children be the ones to pay for teachers that are slackers and aren't interested in only the paycheck. Come on people, there are teachers who are truly dedicated to students of schools and want to be mentors in showing children what they can learn and set their goals in life and see them succeed. then there are those who only care about the pay check. Is it really our children's fault for lack of real teachers with in the school system. Factor is with all that has happend with in our government and educational system is plainly put as control over the populations. Our children are the ones suffering here, not the schools and teachers. Why in tarnation would anyone come up with this common core standards crap and make it more difficult for our children to even get through school. Plus those who have sever learning disabilites that can't do the math are effected even more. I have a daughter who is having a rough time with this common core crap. Takes us over two hours to get her math homework done because she doesn't understand it, and plainly put, it seems they are teaching math backwards not the way we learned it. and the drop out rates will get even higher. dugh.

If it is taking your child 8 hours to do math homework, he may need special classes.

Her comment became null and void when she blamed the teachers for the common core curriculum.

APPR is the evaluation system for teachers. Common core is from the state and changes the curriculum they must teach. Has nothing to do with good vs bd teachers. It is only bout content, not method.

The common core is primarily designed to discourage critical thinking by emphasizing robotic, mechanical, mindless repetition of irrelevant facts that are forgotten soon after the test is complete.

The most important effect of this is to create children who are totally dependent on authority for survival and a sense of self-worth. This will inevitably result in the creation of more obedient, less independent adult workers who will work longer hours for lower pay, the end of overtime, reduced benefits, and the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you come to collect it. And now they're coming for your social security, they want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on wall street.

And if workers of the future even get to the point where they complain about the conditions of their lives, just as now their voices will be totally ignored. If they try to form a union to demand to be treated decently, they will be fired, intimidated, harassed, and degraded in the hopes that they will simply give up their quest to be treated like human beings. And the likelihood of victory on the part of the owners is increased the more hopeless the average man becomes. Add to that the prospect of debt peonage for school, homes, healthcare and the rest and you have the formula for soft tyranny.

I think I've covered everything.

I think you may be one of the dumbest people ever... Anyone can be a conspiracy theorist, but not many can be as ignorant and retarded as you. Congrats. Now, close your eyes and go play in traffic.

If there is no better way to say something then originality becomes irrelevant.

How's that for an original idea?
