If this incident began as a bullying issue, why is it that there will be no repercussions for the students from Colton-Pierrepont? All students should be reprimanded based upon their level of involvement. Bullying is often where it begins and it just escalates from there.....obviously.
I agree. I hope we can trust that ALL bullies involved in this situation will be dealt with accordingly.

I agree with you to a certain point. My daughter does not attend either of these schools, but was bullied by another female. It reached a breakin point, WITCH DID NOT INVOLVE A GUN. I taught my daughter to stand up for herself, however be cautious how she does it. And in the end, the bully got suspended cause she didn't get to my daughter anymore (and the principal knew what was going on and advised my daugher how to handle it). It did work in the end! My advice to kids, ask and adult, we've been there! I also have a 13 year old son, whom I've talked to about this situation, he clearly knew not to bring a gun to school (which are locked up at our house, for hunting purposes only). It was a bad decision on these boys part, doesn't mean they are bad kids, but they made a very wrong decision. You cannot do that kind of thing in this day and age.

He's a sweetheart and was just fooling around with his friend. & yes, with a gun, it's serious, i know. but just relax. poor kid
this is the wrong time for fooling around and if he can't recognise that he does need to be evaluated further before let go. The shame in a mental illness is not getting help and ppl making excuses up for their wackes behavior.break the stigma there is affordable help out there.just seek it for yourself or family or friends.

the gun kid should have grew some balls and fought the other kid behind the school or some place hand on hand and get it over with. when I was 16 that's how we settled things. never thought of using a gun as a scare tactic. bring few friends with you slug it out and be done with it and most times after the fight we made new friends.

Seriously as " a joke" are you on drugs!!! Thats no laughing matter what about the teachers , parents and children that feared there life at that moment and ask them if they thought it as a joke
especially what just happen in sandy hook. No one in there right mind whould ever think that was a joke and I hope they make an example out of people like him and his friends that where involved who think its funny all fun and game.Do you realize how stupid you sound " poor kid" again what about the fear he put in all those people.

It must be so fucking nice to be perfect and never make a mistake. You don't know him, you only know this one bad choice that he's made. I'm sure he's over there thinking about how stupid he was. He's a teenager, & I know him pretty well, and i've never heard him being arrested for drugs before? so that's something new. He comes from a good family, and the human brain isn't fully developed till your 24, that's why there are college kids still making stupid decisions. He's a good kid. You don't know him. But you're going to judge him after this one big mistake he made. I hope you all enjoy your perfect life without any mishaps.
Of course we're going to judge him after one HUGE mistake he made. The fact he brought a GUN to SCHOOl and POINTED it at CHILDREN and you're STILL trying to defend him shows that you're brain is obviously not developed yet. I've made my fair share of mistakes, believe me. I'm a college kid making stupid decisions but never in my life would i make that huge of a mistake. I shouldn't even use the word mistake, because it wasn't. He deliberately pointed a gun at children. Now i'm not saying he's not a generally nice kid and that his family are bad people, i'm saying that at his age you know better. Or you should know better.

Get your facts straight, running your mouth when you have no idea what you are talking about makes you look stupid! He did not “point” the pellet gun at anyone, you need to stop listening to the North Country rumor mill and use common sense. This world sucks because people like you think you know everything when you are solely making up shit as you speak!

“you need help” fitting description as you do need help. Comparing this to Sandy Hook, you should be ashamed. The fear was put into those children by their ignorant parents who are sheep to whatever is put on the media. School was not in session so minimal children were there, if their parents had any sense they would have explained the situation in a manner that was not solely meant to pass their own fear onto their child. If more parents actually were parents children would have a better respect for one another and their elders, this was a very big mistake, and yes it was a mistake, you probably have no idea what your own children are doing, your child could be the cause of the next school “mistake” don't you think if the parents of all the students involved (both Potsdam and Colton) had any idea what their children were doing they could have intervened and prevented the escalation of this incident. I dare you all to look at your child's facebook, twitter, email, text and see what is truly going on under your own nose.

they did not compare this to sandy hook.they said with what just happened at sandy hook, who would do something like this.and I agree. After all we have going on with gun rights being threatened and shootings at schools,no one in their right mind would go to a school with a gun unless they are unconsciously seeking help.this child must know what's going on around him.or he has very big problems with reality.

No, being immature and telling someone they suck because they are concerned about the safety of children makes you look stupid. Okay, i'll admit it.. maybe i don't know the whole story from only reading the news. I wasn't there. But unless you were you have no reason to accuse me of stating false information. Even if he did not point the gun at someone, he still brought it onto school grounds. What exactly do you mean by "use common sense?" I have plenty of it.

Just relax???? Apparently you don't have children that go to school and are afraid to go back! And no it wasn't a joke read the papers he was preparing for a fight. With everything that's going on with guns I wouldn't call it a joke at all. Jail his a$$ and see what a sweetheart he is then. If he gets out of jail he should have to be home schooled and never allowed on school property again![/QUOTE]

Yeah, just relax. Your kids need to chill. Nobody was ever in any kind of danger and you're just making a fool of yourself. He is going to school now and doing well in it.
