I have seen it time and time again. If you go to any local convenience store (Hoots, Browns, BP, etc.) around 11am on any given day, you'll see the mom with a carload of kids pour in. She's still in her pajamas, and has shoes on if were lucky. She buys bags of doughnuts, beef jerky, and chocolate milk for the kids breakfast. She then whips out the good ole EBT card and pays for it all. 30$ worth of junk. For the best part, she pulls a wad of cash out of her purse and buys a carton of cigarettes and a 12 pack of beer. I am completely in favor of EBT for those in need, but not those who are lazy. Too lazy to get up before 10am, too lazy to purchase 30$ worth of real food for your children, and too lazy to cook for them. I can't afford to buy 30$ worth of junk food daily for my children and I WORK! Stop the abuse so that someone who really needs it can get it!

I see nothing wrong with once or twice a month to get a treat for the kids, but they need to be used for food for meals for the house. I also fully agree if you need food stamps dont buy cigarettes, beer, have a new IPnone, drive a really nice car. I have had to use them for a few months and I was so embarrassed no way could I go in a gas station daily and do this. I got off of them fast and never told my kids I had them I don't want them to think there's a free ride out there. Not to mention I hearof people selling them also, this is so wrong. I hope the.law passes if you get government help you have to take a drug test. I would have done it when I got my help. I bet more than half of these people do some kind of drug.

If you can buy drugs, you can buy food. It needs to be made mandatory for all who receive government aid in any form, to be drug tested. This includes HUD, WIC, EBT, and disability. Which brings me to my next pet peeve. I'm tired of those who claim to be disabled, but are still capable of working. They hunt, fish, ride atv's, own and ride motorcycles, and lift kids/babies all day. Somehow, they just can't work. Then you hear the horror stories of truly handicapped people that are refused time and time again. LAZIENESS IS NOT A DISABILITY!

I.know a woman who defrauded the welfare system for years food stamps. monthly government checks ..free health care for herself and 3 kids all the time being a drug addict when her kids grew up she went on disability because of the drug damage to her body and brain. Now she is in her 50s and she is still on drugs and the government pays for her to have her house cleaned and take care of her even though she is capable of cleaning herself. The caregivers even get to just call in and leave she makes deals with them for some of their pay .... Our government doesn't police where or how our money is spent .
