Does not make good decisions in custody cases. He obviously doesnt take his time to read over evidence, or look for truth . I pray for the kids' lives that has been determined by this man.

I lost my custody battle w him too. He put my 5 year old son on the stand n made him go thru the whole store about my sons dad doin drugs n bein mean to him n his sisters n then troy Hyde turned around n said that he can't take the word of a 5 year old. If he wasn't gonna take my sons word then y did he put him thru that. That was almost 5 years ago n to this day my children still cry when they have to go back to their dads. Now if u ask me, that is pretty bad judgment. Mogirl is right. He does not take the time to look over evidence oh anything b4 he makes a judgement. Troy Hyde is for the men only. He don't listen to females. N bcuz of that my kids r unhappy.

Encouragement and rehearsal of false reports is very easily detectable. I am personally aware of three cases in Jefferson County, where mothers that were primary custodians, lost their children due to "coaching" the children on what to say. Portraying the other parent in a negative light not only hurts the children, but usually causes them to withdraw emotionally from the accuser. Once again, Hyde ruled in the best interest of the children.

Tyler, what exactly are you basing your opinion on here? Are you saying Proudmomma coached her 5 year old son to talk about his ear's drug use? That is an outrageous and dangerous position to take first of all, and secondly you did not address the issue she described. Judge Hyde subjected a 5 year old to a court room witness stand to talk about his daddy. He (the 5 year old) never should have been involved if his best interests were truly considered. Sounds to me like you're more interested in defending Hyde's actions than understanding the psychological impact to this little boy. You should practice what you preach and open your eyes!

Exactly. Y n the hell would I put words like that n my sons mouth. Also because of the poor decision judge Hyde made, it has also gave my kids dad opportunity to abuse my son n nobody will do anything about it. Not even dfs.

First of all, I question your legitimacy for two reasons. Why didn't you order a drug test on your child's father or hair samples from your child?(if the drug use was in proximity of the child?) I was not at your trial, but 99% of the time the judge removes everyone from the court except the attorneys before questioning the child. If your sons father was/is not doing drugs in proximity of your child, then how did he know? Children generally dont appear in court unless their testimony is used as evidence by one or both parties. If your son testified according to your previous post, then it appears to be part of your evidence. If your children are to the best of your knowledge being abused, don't take no for an answer! Remember the squeaky wheel gets the oil. Make a call every day and document or record it. If you don't have success, go above the organization you called to the next step. If your children are unhappy, hire a GAL (lawyer for the kids). They will investigate and make recommendations in their best interest.

Cindy-
Exactly what part of my post was dangerous? At no point in my post did I mention her name. It was simply an opinion. Furthermore, I don't understand why people post personal issues (especially child custody issues) on sites such as these. If Hyde truly did put this child through unnecessary emotional stress, then what is posting on Topix going to help? Why didn't she appeal?
