What a place....

[New to the area]

So my family and I just recently relocated to Washington County to try and get the kids away from all of the crazy things in the inner cities. Since moving here and moving my kids' school I am shocked. My son has been subjected to highschool kids smoking and cusing on the bus, left on the side of the road by one of the FINEST bus drivers. Then the HUGE shocker......A KID BROUGHT BROWNIES TO SCHOOL LACED IN MORPHIN!!!OMG. This past Saturday, we decided to go to Potosi and have a bite to eat. We chose the "Family Steak House" where three of us choose cheese burgers and fries and for the toddler childs chicken nuggets and fries. The total bill was $41.00. What the hell I thought I went to a small hometown restaraunt not Red Robin!!!

You have not seen nothing yet,i have been here now 10yrs. I to was shocked and still being shocked. so here i stand....defiant to those that are corrupt.stay stronge,,stay to your own

I wonder if they charged you extra for the roaches? We learned a long time ago to avoid the Steakhouse. The food is overpriced crap. The place is gross. If you want good food, go to Peppers. The only drawback to Peppers is there is a strange smell when you first walk in... like Houlihans at Union Station always had... but only at the front door.

i lived in potosi a couple years ago before moving to arkansas and it wasnt that bad then but sounds like things changed

Take my advice, my friend...get out of that stinkhole as quickly as you can. My family moved to Potosi when I was a young child to help "shelter" me from the negative influences associated with the St. Louis area. It was the worst decision imaginable, and I still remember what a Hell on Earth that second-rate dive was, and is. My family is no longer there, and I will never go back to that cesspool of racist, white-trash, third-world rural rot. Move to Arnold, or to Imperial, or to Fenton...anywhere! Just get out while you still have time, before your children morph into cowpokes and Potosi Whores before your very eyes!

lol i dont plan on going back... my parents also moved me there years ago to get away from bad influences and we ended up moving to arkansas lol now im in texas

Okay...wow! I grew up in Caledonia and can say I am definitely not a whore and I really don't see anything wrong with cowpokes!! No matter where you go there's going to be drugs, alcohol, promiscuous teens.....that's life!! I no longer live in Caledonia, but I do miss it and would move my family there in a heartbeat! As far as a good bus driver leaving my child on the side of the road, I'm pretty sure I would have called the school board with complaints!! Also, how did you find out about the brownies being laced with morphine? Do you know this for a fact or was it a rumor?

as for food, i like boo's market which is located close to the court house

i moved here years ago and have seen some very strange things thoughout that time but i am not right in potosi and that helps

there aren't many things to do for teens that i know of unless you are into sports

i know there is a nice family recreation center on 67 right outta bonne terre that looks cool

i would say to you that have teens
do not believe everything they say about where they are going and even if you think their freinds seem nice in person...
don't be fooled
call if they say they will be somewhere and check on them

?I've lived here all my life and it seem to get worse everyday.It's haed to send my kids out their,but think god my kids have a good head i\on their shoulders(for know anyway)
