$14 million senior housing project slated

Sunwest only cares about the bottom line. I know not by community reputation but personal experience.
Top heavy in office people and not enough emphasis on care. Then there is the food!
Pitiful, people spend their life savings hoping to get the respect and care they deserve and Sunwest only cares about the money. What you see isn't what you get.

Sunwest Management Inc. does not learn- the same problems are being repeated over and over in states they operate facilities in. They're supposed to make a profit for their investors, but at the cost of the elderly is wrong! Why doesn't all the State's rules and regulators have a combined database to compare the citations given to each facility nationwide- then they could see the if same citations are being issued to all Sunwest Facilities. This would show that lessons are not being learned by facilities managed by Sunwest!

I am attempting to do it somewhat on my own. Notice how the same thread runs through all the big lawsuits as to why they are being sued.
Every facility is on a budget but they can't seem to learn the common sense fact that you get what you pay for and people are sick and tired of paying for what they are not given. Everything is Corporate - Corporate - Corporate and taking care of Sunwest's interests not the residents. Low staffing, lousey food, poor security. I could go on and on. The corporate people come into the facilities and give the administrators the demands of the corporation. Assisted Living is spending big bucks trying to evade federal guidelines and more state oversight but they are so blind they don't realize the way they operate is driving them right into the hands of more regulations. If people complain to their state offices that oversee and survey the facilities they may get tired of being fined and closed down for their violations. I'll bet there are a few more big lawsuits in the making. Keep posted.

Thought they were really cracking down on facilities in N.Y. These people are ruthless, money grabbing, uncaring crooks stealing from the elderly for the sake of money - greed. High class slum lords! Excuse me they "think" they are high class caregivers. HA!

biggest creeps in the business. terrible food, pay employees as cheap as possible. administrator's do everything possible to keep expenses low. guess they get a bonus if they run facility like a cheap motel.

I have heard very bad things about that victorian manor in batavia ny!Their CEO is a real gem! Being married to a judge seems to give her special rights that do not include the rights of the residents she represents and I"ve been told by several people in batavia she lies like hell!

I was an administrator with Sunwest. They were notorious for paying bills late, drowning us in paperwork, buying properties cheap and and not spending a dime to upgrade them. Putting off repairs all the time. They pay way below the norm for its employees. They do not have the programs and expertise to follow through on services promised. The food or should I say the corporate menu's are horrible.

Don't call anyone - if you have a loved one there just get them out and get them out fast. I have worked for Sunwest and they are cheap - hire unqualified staff - don't train the new staff - don't pay thier bills - don't care about anything but the bottom line. Their food vendor would not deliver one time because they did not pay their bill - Just google Sunwest Lawsuits 2007 - not only does the company stink - they suck!!!!!!!!!!

I noticed that Sunwest is lookingg to build as noticed above. Somebody should get to the town council so they know what they are in for!
Sunwest is pitiful. In Charlotte they are trying to blame old management for their errors...killing a resident. They were on the news. Yet they are still operating. The paperwork piles up. Everythin goes in a binder. HOW CRAZY! Bills are not aid, residents suffer big time
