If the police would'nt give you dui's while you're parked in your car this crap would'nt have happened.I have a freind who got a dui while passed out in his car in his yard.It was winter and he and his wife started arguing so he went outside and sat in his car with the heat on.police came and gave him a dui even though he was'nt going to drive and inch.EFFING COPS are just to dui crazy.

Glad they got him & it looks as though nobody was hurt. He should be incarcerated 4 life 4 being a habitual offender, DUI, hit & run X several, fleeing & eluding, terrorist acts against bridge & sued by all cities & civilians affected be is dumb @ss. He should be made to pay physically & financially & his own hospital stay.

You obviously need some education.
Perhaps if people don't drink to an excess that put them in rediculous situations they wouldn't get arrested.
You haven't had anyone you know struck or killed by a drunk driver obviously. And Obviously you have had some kind of run in with the police....i'm sure it totally wasn't your fault either.
Educate yourself so you don't sound so ignorant.

If your key is in the ignition of a motor vehicle regardless of whether or not it is in the "Off" position, you are still considered in control & the operator of said motor vehicle. I believe this information is in the VA DMV Handbook. Regardless, I believe most know this especially those that drink alcohol.

FYI: Former football star Bruce Smith of VA Beach was parked on top of the grass median that splits GreatNeck RD passed out/ asleep. I can't remember his BAC (anyone interested can look it up), but it was above .08. Even if your BAC is below, you still can be charged w/ DUI.

This idiot could have easily complied from the begining vs. endangering lives. Who knows, it's possible the officers might have just told him not to do it again & get in the house.

Everyone that drinks knows law enforcemnet & citizens have been taking DUI/ DWI offenses Very seriously over the years. They rightfully aren't as forgiving as they were 20-25-30+ years ago. DUI is rightfully Not socially acceptable. It impairs judgement. My guess would be he came home from somewhere drunk. Regardless of what hits the fan at my house, I wouldn't be dumb enough to be impaired & sleep in the drivers seat of my car! It wasn't, but if cold out, he could have brought a coat or blankets to sleep in his car.

No way Any of these actions can be justified!

Do you also blame the police for you being a looser?
