I agree that this woman is sick, however, She has the right to believe whatever she wants to believe. Soldiers died so that we could ALL have freedom of speech, and our own opinions, and yes, her beliefs are very disturbing, but she is just as entitled to them as you or I are entitled to ours.

If she is so godly and thinks that we need to OBEY the lord, why the hell is she running around discriminating against people taht she doesnt even know? supposedly- the bible says to love everyone equally. not frown upon them because of the mistakes they may have made. I hear what you are saying but I can not grasp that you are okay with them protesting while the famlies are trying to put their loved ones to rest. How would you feel if they were there protesting because someone in your family was gay or dies fighting the country they loved?

Being in the military, this woman saddens me, but I'm glad she is able to voice her opinions freely. In any other country in the world this lady and her whole church would be arrested or beaten. This church protest's the government of the one country that allows them to practice their morbid, moronic belief's.

I understand what your saying and its even more impressive coming from someone in the service...however sir, even in this country she and her congregation should be lined up out back...put on their knees...pistol whipped and then deppending on their involvement in the protests either receive and a round to each knee cap or two prompt .40 parabellums behind their left ear....you can figure out which deserve which...theirs freedom of speech and then there is just inhuman behavior to your fellow person.

Shirley Phelps-Roper needs to walk a mile in a Soldiers shoes, a Mother who has lost her son or daughter, a wife who lives with out a husband, or a child who has lost a parent. Then she might have some kind of justification for the things she says. I don't see her fighting for her freedom of anything so she really needs to get some help! I will be praying for her!

1st some people need to keep their freedom of speech to themselves and the world would function better! 2nd did her mother not teach her that if you don't have any thing nice to say don't say anything at all? 3rd there is no 3rd one and two are good enough!!!!

I am really sickened by this woman. I am currently deployed and fighting for a country that I had hoped was behind me. Hmm nice to know that if I happened to die here she might come and protest my funeral. I don't think my family would put up with her... pretty sure she would be curb stomped by my mom. This lady is crazy to think the way she is... try this in another country and she would have been dead years ago.

Good point and I totally agree. I for one think that she and her little cult activists need to stay in kansas and be hit by a tornado. She as the spokes person needs to understand that as someone who is preaching the "word" needs to preach the truth and understanding. I mean do these people honestely think their fellow Americans are going to respond to this slandar positively? Her and everyone who thinks like her need to be psycho-analyzed because they are extreemly sick and disturbed...not to mention missled.

my husband just got back frm iraq. his tour was ended early because a rocked grenade hit his humv. he got burnt real bad but is still w/ us. i cant even fathim the thought of this "cult" standin outside of these funerals for our dead soldiers.how dare her. this makes me want to throw up. i hope i get the chance to meet this lady someday
