Potty Training

Since there are so many mothers on here (and fathers) I figured I'd ask for tips, suggestions, tricks, etc., for potty training my 2 1/2-year-old little man.

take to potty every half hour. when at home...big boy undies...no pull up except nap and night time.

i first tried putting cheerios in the potty to see if my son would pee on them...someone told me to try that.it worked for a lil while.the thing that i found to work the most is...find some stickers that your kid likes...trucks,dora,diego,etc. and make a chart to hang on the fridge.every time they potty let them get a sticker then after getting so many give them a prize.i would go buy a toy or something like that.my son was all excited jus to get the sticker though.

She was making a joke for pete's sake! As for the topic, i say just make the potty available, like in the toy room, so they can get to it fast, and give frequent reminders. My 3 year old has #1 down, but #2, another story :(, but it will happen when he's ready to do it. we have manged to get him to do it a few times, but only by bribing him,lol...but it does work sometimes,and he's happy with a $1 toy :). good luck!

Thanks for all the advice, Ladies! If I have to bribe him, that's fine with me. Since every kid's different, I figure if I get several suggestions I'll try every one until something works.
