This Friday 12/21/12 there is a world wide walk in memory of those who died in Newtown Connecticut. It starts at 9:30 a.m. and lasts 27 minutes, one minute for each of the victims of this horrific tragedy. You can wear green and white (the school's colors) and bring bubble to blow at 9:57. There are a few of us meeting up at Kroger in Portsmouth at 9 a.m. if anyone would like to join, you are more than welcome!

Is this for real? Post it in the paper. Oh before Saturday, they are notorious for posting events the DAY after!

Yes it is very real. I am going to print some info out and hang them up at local places. I have sent the info on many social networks! I have had no response from anyone other than my friends.

Drop this news and go to something else, this is nothing except the government using the kids for their personal vendetta to have gun control over us and we will lose another very important right for the good of the people.

I am walking in memory of those innocent who lost their lives! This is not a political rally of any sort! It is to show support to the families! I would only hope that people would do the same if this were to happen in our town!

A 27 minute walk will not hurt anyone. You need a time out, chill.

Are you serious? First of all I did not come up with this concept I was invited on Facebook. It is a WORLD WIDE event. I need no attention at all for this. Just trying to get people to join in and show support for those families affected by this! I could care less about the news or the local paper. There are people in this world who are caring and would like to show their support for these people. Maybe you should "get a life" and quit posting such negative comments on tings you obviously could care less about!

It is a WORLD WIDE walk. You need to gather more information before you start spouting off to other people. Walk 27 is the event created by Above Average Entertainment and is an opportunity for our community to walk together for 27 minutes in honor of the 27 victims.

I think this is a wonderful idea. I have to work or I would walk with you. Portsmouth's topix forum is full of negativitiy, so just ignore people like that.

You do care about the news and local paper , or you would not feel the need to reply with rage. Lets get one thing strait , 20 dead kids is not a, and I quote "WORLD WIDE event" its was evil day . so have fun walking with your friends feeling good about yourself. I sure them poor little kids would still like to be able to walk this earth . Your a real ''HERO''

I agree 100%! I don't know why people insist on making a positive thing so negative! Then they wonder what's wrong with the world today! People have no compassion for others and only care about themselves.

I have family and children and i care about people but walking in public for 27 minutes does NOTHING. Why don't you walk in PRIVATE. Go to your basement and walk for 27 minutes then you will see how stupid this all sounds to me. If you want to do something Positive then go to the funerals and hug the folks that need support or send cards, flowers, money or whatever you feel would help the families but walking is STUPID.

What a wonderful life you have. Finding negativity in everything is a full time job. It is out of respect of the children, families, town and nation that is left pondering how something like this could happen to the very innocent. If you don't want to walk, don't walk. We will not miss you. Have a great day.:)

This is a wonderful gesture! Those of you who think it isn't that is your opinion. This is a world wide walk as I have been invited as well. I do not think anyone is trying to be a "hero". They're showing support to those families. Why you insist on being so negative is beyond me. Everyone shows support in many ways. It is a gesture and a very good one. You do not have to be so negative and think people are out to get some sort of attention. Not everyone has the mind set that you obviously do. As for your comment about "in a cool wet damp casket" that was uncalled for and a disgusting thing to say!
