Probably because the initial comment seemed in favor of letting the family go homeless.

Nothing like stating the obvious.

EVERYone could have handled the situation better, and ANYone could have called the authorities.

All of that is moot, since ONLY Holsinger pulled a weapon FIRST and escalated a dispute to a case of deadly force, causing his OWN demise.

Hence, the investigation resulting in no charges being filed.

Why do I have to donate to them to "care?" I can't donate to other families or charities?

I never said that you couldn't. You asked what I had done to help the family. I answered.
You asked why I felt that you don't donate.I answered based on the subject we were discussing.

Donate to whomever you please. They probably deserve it. However, we were on the subject of this family and the homeless comment, not other people or charities.

I have a CCW permit and the latest handbook of CCW law from the Sherriff's office.
There is NOTHING in the handbook that says you are not allowed to carry ANYwhere except specific locations, NONR of which apply in the Holsinger case. If any CCW laws were violated the investigation would have stated so. Your comment has no validity.
The handbook says that you are NOT to pull a weapon unless YOUR life is in danger.
You CAN draw your weapon if someone puts a gun in your face.
I don't know if Holsinger had a CCW or even legally owned the gun he had in his possession.
What I DO know is that he would still be alive had he NOT introduced a weapon into the situation and put it in a man's face.
Whether YOU like it or not, his demise was the direct result of HIS bad judgement.
You do not need a CCW to carry a firearm on your own private property...ie owners of grocery stores, gun stores, jewelry stores. I think what people are talking about is making a situation in where there will likely be a confrentation. Meaning had Tyler not had a firearm and left when was told to them Mr. Holsinger would be alive today....he was shot 4 times in the chest and once in the head...a little over kill you think? could the shot to the head have been an excution style of shot?

1) Staker was legally carrying a weapon. Your opinion about that fact changes nothing, and means nothing.

2) Regardless of whether Holsinger had a CCW or not, the law says a property owner may NOT use deadly force to protect property alone, ONLY in the event that your LIFE is threatened.

3) I don't know of any law that limits how many times a person can shoot someone who has put a gun in their face and threatened their life.

4) I'm probably wasting my time trying to explain this to someone who can't spell Howdy DOODY.

1...I believe that also repo laws in Ohio also says that you can't be armed if their could be trouble...a CCW permit doesn't make someone Wyatt friggin Earp
2...He may use deadly force If he ALSO feels threatened...
3...Only until the threat is stopped. For example if he was on the ground and the weapon was farther than arm distance away...no threat

I agree, the 10,000 dollar deal, whether or not it's true, is highly plausible in a place like Portsmouth...However, when it comes to the I.Q. of those working in the so called judicial system in P-Town, in my opinion it has more to do with the egos in power than how smart or dumb any of them are...Why bother putting forth an effort to fool anyone, who's gonna do anything about it anyway....

1) You really know nothing about Ohio Revised Code. A repo man is allowed to have a CCW Permit and carry at all times. He is not allowed to brandish or use a weapon in the course of a repo, which did NOT happen. A repo man IS allowed to defend himself if HE is threatened with a weapon while on the job. In northern Ohio recently, a woman was arrested for pulling a gun on a repo man during a repossession of her car.

2) No, a property owner may NOT use deadly force to protect property alone, ONLY if his LIFE is in danger. HOLSINGER drew his weapon FIRST. Read Ohio Revised Code & CCW handbook.

3) Once again Skippy, there IS no law that states how many times a person defending their life against an armed attacker may fire in defense. And YOU have no idea of the exact circumstances of this shooting any more than anyone else, concerning anyone being on the ground or any distance at any time. THAT'S up to the investigators who determined that no charges were to be filed. You're just blowing smoke and opinion out your ass.

4) BS. You're hardly a creative writer, you can barely construct a coherent sentence. You just can't SPELL for sh!t.
