Not so much as the Well fellers who get help and screw their way threw life...
But rather the idiot who make these "Guidlines"
Come on folks these guidlines aint been right in years so why not fix the dam things.
Just listen to the working class people not the 3- 4 generation wellfellers.
My sister works 2 dam jobs pays her own bills, gets no assistance no stamps pays for her mobile home every month, no goverment housing.
She has 2 children single mother, never drank or used drugs ever.
And needs crucial medicine to keep her from dying and they say "You make too much money"
She should say,
"Yea and i pay too dam much taxes the hell with working i quit give me stamps money and medical card so i can go sell my script or snort it"
What the hell is the dam message the Human services
trying to send to everybody?
" If you work, we will punish you for doing so, you will get nothing.
But if you can atleast tell us you dont wanna work in the correct way, we will give you whatever you want!!!!"
She pays enough to keep 2 familys supported on 3rd generation welfare, burns my ass.
I work, my wife works, we dont get jack diddly, dont need it, dont want it even if we did.
We barley make it, but thank God we have good insurance through work, ashame they wont let me put my sister on it and to beat it off?
Her husband whinds up being a good for nothing asshole moves out takes what she worked and bought, he lives by hiself and dam if he dont get a medical card cause he is overweight and has sleep apnea? Go friggin figure..........
Re Write the rules dummy, who do you think is paying your salary out here?
The ones who need help to keep working so they can keep you working, if no one is working then eventually your gonna lose your job o smart one......
I don't know what kind of medication your sister needs, but has she ever tried to contact the maker or makers of her medication? A lot of different places have programs to try to help. Smith's in Portsmouth also has a program to help. She, you, or whomever should do some research on the internet, if you haven't already tried. My dad gets help through Smith's because his medicine is $2000-$3000 A MONTH for essential medications like insulin, etc. And my grandparents go through Smith's also to get help with medication for cancer and several other essentials. It's a LOT of paperwork, and frankly it can be a hassle, but it is worth it in the end.

I agree, but the government would never do that because they would have to send a list of meds taken by everyone to the case workers, that would really piss them off if they had to put in an extra hour on each case..

at least theyre working! you should be worried about the ppl who wont work, sell pills, etc. if you work a min wage job like most ppl you wont make it if you have kids and a family and you wont get no help either, u got to take care of business some way or another. thats why ppl talk about the system punishing married ppl and making some ppl want to sneak and live together instead of helping ppl trying to work and live too

The government of Ohio needs to institute what West Virginia has instituted. Anyone that is on welfare or is signing up for welfare takes mandatory random drug testing. I don't have a problem with a family drawing assistance when it is needed, such as a parent working for a low wage and having children. However, someone that is working under the table and drawing welfare is wrong. At least that is how I feel after working construction with some guys that said that I should go sign up because they were making $750 a week under the table plus drawing welfare checks and food stamps. It pissed me off, but what can you do?

i agree. Everyone should be drug tested before they receive benefits. And they shouldnt be given more then one chance to commit welfare fraud. They give them three chances. That is ridiculous. Not only that but why in the world is alchoholism considered a disease. You choose to bring that upon yourself and there fore it is not a disease. A disease is something you don't want to happen to you and try your best to get rid of it, not continuously do it. So if you choose to be a big drunk in life, then you can receive welfare because you have a disease. RIDICULOUS. There are people out there who really need the help and are being turned down, because all your crackheads, pill heads, drunks, losers, and beggars cant be bothered to get off their ass and get a job. And quit having so many kids if you cant or wont take care of them

i an i think the others are talking about ppl that get welfare an work under the table for 10-14$ a hour they just want the foodstamps an medical so they dont have to buy it themselves...an then sell like 2000$ a mo in drugs... those ppl make me mad...if you make min wage an get help thats fine. its the ones that can make it with out the help but choose to suck the system dry..

Lot's of people see you out and about with him, even seen you arguing at the Fork&Finger restuarant. You aren't fooling anyone but yourself you lowlife.

They simply say the "car" belongs to a friend. I still believe you should be re-evaluated yearly when getting SSI or Social Security Disability. When the fraud unit gathers enough info for the prosecuting atty he simply says "No" and that's the end of that.

The thing that makes me tick about welfare fruad not being stopped is,girls who work in beauty salons and recieve tips, and big money for doing hair, and lie about the income they recieve...every bit of money they make is considered an in come...they dont claim it all nor report it...they have child care paid for..welfare pays rent...food...utilities...And they are raking in 120.00 in a 2 hr. time frame for a weave...then the tip...and not counting walkins in between...they go to las vegas for hair shows..cancun for hair shows..and smoke the pot on top of that...yes they need to be drug tested ..and hairdressers on the system need to be reported...i work...and cant afford to go to cancun/las vegas...what in the world is our system coming to....If you want to report someone, you report it to the director of fraud..not the investigators...because it never gets done properly..Get the lying, cheating, fraud users off the system ..they have it to easy...and knock out those who desperately need it and are honest...!!!

I agree with those that say that those who are on welfare should have to drug test. I also think there should be a STRICT limit on the amount of time someone can receive assistance.

My husband and I are in our mid-twenties and both work full time. My husband has a daughter (I've been raising her too since she was a couple weeks old and shes now 7). We have to pay support to her mother, though she only has the child every other week for 3 days (and she gets a sitter 99% of that time as well), she has been on every kind of assistance possible since she was 2 months pregnant (she has since had another kid with someone else which she also receives support and assistance for) and she has worked under the table 2-3 nights a week for almost 4 years.

How is it that hard-working people like us cant even get a little help with necessary things like child care so we CAN work, but people like her are worthless, unproductive members of society and have everything handed to them??
We are working our asses off to barely make it and shes sleeping off a hangover 6 days a week, not taking care of her children and doing whatever she wants and everyone else has to pay for it??

Im all for assistance for people that are struggling and need some help, but that never seems to be the case.
