You don't understand. Republicans run for President because they want to do the job. Democrats run for President because of the spotlight that follows them. Hell, look at old decrepit Jimmy Carter still running around giving his two cents. The man was a failed President, and he's advising others?
When old man Bush lost reelection, you didn't see him again. When Ford left, you didn't see him again. When GW left, you didn't see him again. When Reagan left, you didn't see him again.
This is what's called dignity--something few Democrat Presidents ever had.
Gotta get that Koch Brothers out of your head. Like I said, you make things up and believe it.
Ford and "Old Man" Bush were both booted out of office so there wasn't too much for them to be proud about. Reagan was so demented at the time he left he couldn't wipe his own butt. Typical of a teabagger, you ridicule Jimmy Carter for all of the charity and democracy work he has done all over the world. He has done more to help democracy grow and make the world safer than the last 5 presidents combined. If you think Mitt is in this for self sacrifice and sense of duty, you are more of a rube than I thought.

The reason Ohio has the most toxic air in the country, is because of energy plants and factories. Do you cry about the costs of organized crime in the trucking industry?
And what organized crime do you speak of? The only organized crime in the trucking industry are those who belong to unions, and there are not many of them left.

You libs sit back and blame the rich guy for taking jobs out of the country because they don't have enough money, yet never blame your own folks for those job losses. It's like my employer said "If I could move this company out of the country, I would do it today." Of course, our company is not one of those places that can pack up and move because we are in the service industry. Between the costs of business mostly involving government, it's not worth staying in the US if you are in the manufacturing business.

Exactly... they wanted to keep this country away from a state-run religion, like the one in England that many fled from.
When liberals say seperation of church and state, they are really expressing their hatred for God and their intent to make God and the church disappear completely.
Darn it. You are on to us. Better pray hard on November 3, because the following Sunday your church will have been turned into a gun reclamation center.

If you want to tone down a liberal down about "paying their fair share" what you have to do is provide statistics. They can't answer questions based on statistics. For instance, as you pointed out, the top 1% of income earners in our country pay 40% of all federal collected taxes. The top 10% pay 71% of all federal collected taxes. If this is not a fair share, then what percentage is?
This is where they stumble because deep down inside, they realize that these people are nearly supporting the entire federal government. They also realize how ridiculous it is to ask for even more.
The average wealthy person pays over half his or her income in taxes; not just federal taxes, but state taxes, city taxes, property taxes, and county taxes. Add them all up, and governments own half of their money every single year.
Do you think we can balance our budget and pay down our debt without raising taxes?

Well, liberalism is a religion in itself.
I'm a truck driver, and I can testify that 80% of our repairs have to do with some sort of pollution gadget or another. In all trucks manufactured 2011 or later, they forced them to install Diesel Emission Fluid tanks on all trucks. Diesel Emission Fluid is also known as DEF.
Besides worrying about fuel, we now have to monitor our DEF tank. If you run out of DEF, it will screw up your engine. If you have no DEF in your tank, the truck won't even start.
Companies across the country are avoiding buying new trucks. To avoid using DEF, they are rebuilding their engines and transmissions. Pretty good for jobs, eh?
But take a sniff outside and breathe in that good clean air. Can't you tell the difference? I'm sure liberals can.
Besides DEF, there is yet another pollution monitor in the truck. It's called Burn Off. If the computer senses that you have too much (whatever) you have to stop the truck, push the burn-off button, and the truck is disabled until the process is complete. This takes a half-hour.
These new gadgets cost thousands of dollars, and transportation companies have to compensate by charging higher prices, so we all pay. But liberals don't understand that or even care.
So when an American company is on the brink of bankruptcy, they have to consider these transportation costs on top of the dozens of others. Of course, liberals will tell you that the company owner is greedy, and he could care less about Americans. In reality, it's these tax hoarding, regulation dependent, environmentalists that are driving our businesses out of the country.
Figure out a way to drive your truck somewhere other than MY roads polluting MY air and you can do whatever you want.

Sure, we all remember things like 200 tornadoes at once or terms like thunder snow when we were kids. Nothing has changed.
Just like the people who voted for Bush, everyone who ever denied it was happening will suddenly vanish in a few years. The oil industry told you there was no such thing as climate change. They spent millions to refute it. You bought it. That's how stupid you are. The same oil guys who paid Mitt Romney by the way. Now they have went back on their claims and admit it is happening and it is absolutely man made. So not only do you look like an idiot for thinking you know better than the majority of climate scientists and NASA, but the people that lead you to deny it have pulled the rug out from under you. Now post something about what politicians think about the matter because we all know they can't be swayed with money. Or you could just look out your front door at the hottest decade in recorded history and the nationwide drought.
Want to know the truth about global weather trends? F*ck you NASA, I'm going with what the truck driver tells me. Heeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaw!
The hottest decade. That's not supposed to happen. The temperature is supposed to be consistent year after year, decade after decade, and century after century.

It really makes you wonder what these trillions of dollars in clean air nonsense did for our planet now doesn't it? I mean we have cleaner gasoline, electric cars, higher MPG vehicles, less industry, lead free paint, no more freon. And now we have the hottest decade in history. Hmmmm.

It almost makes one consider the likely fact that we don't have control of the temperature or climate. We might think we do, but it sure doesn't seem like it. After all, you provided proof: hottest decade (in the few years we've been keeping records) ever.

I think the only real solution is to halt all transportation. If you need to get somewhere, walk. Shut down all industry. No more airplanes or trains. No trucks or cars. If you need to eat, grow your own food. If you can't, then die. But of course, up north, the winter will likely kill you with no heat before starvation.

You're asking the wrong questions. The question should be "why is the middle class shrinking?"
http://www.ntu.org/tax-basics/who-pays-income...
woof
The middle-class is shrinking because of automation and job losses overseas. It's now cheaper to have your stuff made somewhere else and ship it to the US than it is to put up with unions, taxes, regulations and all the other expenditures it takes to create stuff in the US. Not only that, but the US consumer will not support the US worker. Their products are too expensive.

Walter Willaims on manufacturing:

Let’s look at manufacturing. According to Dr. Mark Perry’s Department of Labor employment data, in his article “Manufacturing’s Death Greatly Exaggerated,” U.S. manufacturing employment peaked at 19.5 million jobs in 1979. Since 1979, the manufacturing workforce has shrunk by 40 percent, and there’s every indication that manufacturing employment will continue to shrink. Before you buy into the call for Congress to do something about manufacturing job loss, there are some other facts to be considered.

According to the Federal Reserve, the dollar value of U.S. manufacturing output in November was $2.72 trillion (in 2000 dollars). Today’s manufacturing worker is so productive that the value of his average output is $234,220. Output per worker is three times as high as it was in 1980 and twice as high as it was in 1990. For the year 2008, the Federal Reserve estimates that the value of U.S. manufacturing output was about $3.7 trillion (in 2008 dollars). If the U.S. manufacturing sector were a separate economy, with its own GDP, it would be tied with Germany as the world’s fourth-richest economy. The GDPs are: U.S.($14.2 trillion), Japan ($4.9 trillion), China ($4.3 trillion), U.S. manufacturing ($3.7 trillion), Germany ($3.7 trillion), France ($2.9 trillion) and the United Kingdom ($2.7 trillion).

These facts put a lie to claims we hear about how we are a country that “doesn’t produce anything anymore,” and how we have “outsourced our production to China,” and there’s been a “demise of U.S. manufacturing.” U.S. manufacturing has gone through the same kind of labor-saving technological innovation as agriculture. Should we discard that innovation in the name of saving jobs?

So why is this so hard for you to understand how simple the fix really is with your supposed 8 years of college?

were basic math and economics not required classes for a JD?

From the Washington Post:

"Republicans said the bill was in violation of the Budget Control Act, prohibiting new programs that would add to the deficit."

Okay, if this bill would have paid for itself, why would it add to our deficit? Like most everything Republicans stopped, they did so because it was not paid for. I'm sure if Democrats offered to cut something in return to pay for this bill, the Republicans would have went along with it. But Democrats would never give up any of their goodies.

So what really is the Veterans Jobs Act? I can't find an exact explanation, but what I did find in one article is that it would provide jobs for federal, state and local lands. What? Sounds to me like it's more non-needed government jobs. This falls in line with DumBama's agenda--increase the size of government.

So is the Veterans Job Bill a real initiative to help anybody? Yes it was--to help Democrats.

The Republican party is the favorite among most of our military, so like the war on women, this was nothing more than a farce using our men and women of our military to play politics. Democrats know that Republicans will never pass any bill without being paid for, so it seems to me that they created this bill for political purposes only. Democrats hate our military, and most Americans know that.

Wow. Republicans never pass anything that isn't paid for? So have you guys found a way to erase GW from your memories entirely. I keep waiting for Morpheus from the Matrix to step out and offer me the blue or red pill. Ooops let me put it in terms you conservatives can understand. It's like waking up in Mayberry to find that Aunt Bee is a robot.

Next you'll be claiming that Nixon, Reagan, and Bush Sr. and Jr. were good for America and Bush's war was paid for. There's really no reason to even get through to you guys. You will vote once again against your own interests no matter what. It's like you guys piss in the public well, just because it's stupid.

Darn those satellite images of our polar ice caps melting and their "opinions". Now back to the "opinions" of the hottest decade in recorded history.

Here's the conservative view on the matter from the guy Reagan put in charge of our environment...

"My responsibility is to follow the Scriptures which call upon us to occupy the land until Jesus returns. We don't have to protect the environment, the Second Coming is at hand." James Watt
Sec. of Interior

Read up on what the Sec of Interior was up to under the last 4 Republican presidents. Don't mind all the data they were caught changing to fit their energy industry agenda. You know, the energy indsutry Bush deregulated?

One Republican administration is not like the other. I know that's the liberal plot here: convince Americans that voting Romney is voting for Bush, but the rest of us understand that it's nothing more than BS.

Of course, on the other hand, most all Democrat administrations are alike so maybe that's where you get the idea that Republicans are the same.

Remember that the last sweep of Democrats into leadership included disgruntled Republicans as well as Democrats. House, Senate and yes, even the White House. Democrats alone didn't have that kind of power. It took people on all political sides to make that drastic change, just as it took more than Republicans to make that last drastic change in Congress to Republican leadership.

It's now up to Republicans to tell people the truth and point out the dirty lie by liberals. This is an entirely different Republican leadership. This is not the Bush Republicans.

We tried an all liberal leadership Indy. People didn't want it. Two years was two years too much. We created massive debt and had the Democrat Speaker flying around in her own jet plane taking her friends and families for parties all on the taxpayer dime. Mz DumBama takes her own plane too.
