Are you serious? Tells all? Although I believe all pedifiles should hang, the courts are full of dishonesty! I have been accused of a crime I did not commit and by the time the investigators are done everyone around you will swear they saw you do it. Oh and if they don't then they'll make them an accessory. My attorney said it best, it's not about the truth, right and wrong but who can win!

There are also sex offenders that have to register even though the situation was a bit iffy.
For example...I know a guy that was about 20 that had a brief relationship with a guy that he thought was 18 because the guy had told him he was 18..he was in fact only 17. The younger boys parents found out that their son was gay and in a relationship, reacted badly and had the older boy charged and he must now be registerd as a sex offender. These kind of situations ruin lives.

The thing is..he is neither "off the street" nor a perv but he has to be registered right up there with the real pervs becasue of bigots that would probably make the same statement as you.

There's nothing illegal about your scenario, so that tells me it's either fake, or didn't even occur here.

16 is the age of consent in Ohio. Also, if the age difference is less than 4 years, it's a misdemeanor. For example, from 16 to 13, or 15 to 18. However, under 13 is a felony, and an adult cannot be in a position of authority, such as a teacher, or loco parentis (person acting as an unofficial parent). However, a minor can be charged with unruliness, and parents can get a restraining order against an adult.

Why do I post this? People should be clear on what defines a felony, especially in regard to sex, which most people have, and many before the age of 18. I can't believe they don't teach sex laws in sex ed.

(A) No person who is eighteen years of age or older shall engage in sexual conduct with another, who is not the spouse of the offender, when the offender knows the other person is thirteen years of age or older but less than sixteen years of age, or the offender is reckless in that regard.{ 2907.04}.
(2) Except as otherwise provided in division (B)(4) of this section, if the offender is less than four years older than the other person, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor is a misdemeanor of the first degree. http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/2907.04

No, it didn't happen in Ohio..it happend in another state. I said he was 20 but he could have been 21/22 at the time. He was pretty young himself. The main point is there are lots of people that are registered as sex offenders that shouldn't be.

To answer your question, no, I am not homosexual. I also do not judge others by their lifestyle, color of their skin or bank account.
Character is what counts.

Why don't raspiest get life or a lot of time. This is sad but think if the weirdo knew he or she was going to get a life sentence they would be more likely to kill there victim. As loving and caring parents I'd rather my child suffer mental disorders rather then attending there funeral. I have no kids so maybe that's why I can respond with the answer I'm responding too. I also have pity for the people that's subjected to registration when there case involves two teenagers one being of age and one being under age. To the rest of them kill yourself!!!!

It's not only that. Take for example, the cases where it's two teens, of the same age, that are both charged for unlawful sexual conduct.

I'm not saying every teenager should be out having sex, but to criminalize it, and say that they hurt each other...please. What happens when we throw these teens in juvenile detention, and they really do get hurt? Oh... we don't care about them now, because they're sex offenders...

How many people have had sex before the age of 16, and would have to carry that label, had the wrong person found out? How many of our grandparents would we have to throw in jail?

Orwell depicted a future where governments would use the criminalization of sex, as a means of increasing power over the populous. Can't we see now, that a fear of sex, is being engendered in us?

If the government needed to get rid of a powerful enemy of the state, sexual accusations would ensure imprisonment, from a jury that's afraid to maintain the assumption of innocence. "What if he strikes again!?!? You MUST make a guilty verdict!"

They did just exactly that to Winston in 1984, and the reasons had nothing to do with sex. The real reason? Disobedience.
If they make the rules strict enough, they can weed out just about every threat to their authority.
