Hell yeah he is! This scared egotistical mentality has and is going to cause him mistakes. He thinks too highly of himself to admit he was wrong. He is basically grasping at straws.

Do not be fooled, this is not the first incident. What about the trip he raffled off for a hundred a ticket? It was a blatant disregard for the ORC and the election process. Donini has always "cut" corners and now it is finally catching up with him.

To his supporters: He is not as honest as you might think. More will come to light as this all progresses. Pull up a chair and have a seat.

It's funny how all you guys have to talk about him and make up lies to try and ruin his name. Marty Donini is an amazing man and very respected. Donini has ran this county and done a great job. If you check with the prosecutor's office the Sheriff's Office has had more felony cases solved than any other department. We as a community should be very lucky to have such a great sheriff.

No this is not, but I will be here to tell you "I told you so!"

It's in the air, can you smell it? Smells like bullsh1t.

Change coming soon. The truth will be shed on a corrupt individual who believes that everyone is below him. If your not Donini, you are irrelevant. <--- His own words!

Wake up, quit being mindless, and demand truth. Because Donini cannot offer you anything besides what is best for him.

If you look at the political signage in peoples yards all over the county I would have to say that Donini will win by a landslide.

Donini is the best man for the job and his office is solving crime non stop as you can see in the news. I honestly don't know how the man did it with the budget cut but he did. Everybody in Scioto County knows he is an honest and fair man. He can only fix the things he knows about.

Brand new jail, 30+ permenant jobs, 1.5 million in revenue for count annually, over 35,000 inmates through the jail since its opening, all while doing it on the same budget from the old jail. I'd love to hear some searchable facts about the other 2. Got my families vote.

I came home over the last weekend and there was a Donini yard sign in my yard, no one ask me to put it there, my neighbor told me a group of Donini people wearing his shirts came through our neighborhood,it's in the trash now, he wasted $7 or what ever it costs for a sign.

That's just it, they do not ask. If you are registered as a Republican, a sign is placed in your yard. You are not given the choice to place it there. They take the list that has all Republicans on it and place sign by sign. A lot of people have also done the same as you and thrown the sign away. You cannot judge support of a candidate on signage alone. Personally, I think that Donini has already done himself in by calling other people running and also saying that certain laws are irrelevant.

This type of egotistical, self-centered mentality has got Donini into a lot of trouble already and will continue to do the same. It really surprised me when Donini refused to obey the law about claiming false endorsement. When ballot time rolls around, I suspect that more and more insight into the real workings of Donini and his camp will be revealed. It is time to take action and remove this poor excuse for a sheriff. He has forgot the people he swore to serve and protect.

Also, as I have said before, you will notice a rise on arrest within the sheriffs department. This also will continue until the election because Donini thinks he can fool the community. I want to know why it takes an election for him to do his job? Why all these arrest now and not in the off years? Donini, do you think we are that naive? Do you believe we take everything you present as truth at face value?

Donini would answer yes to all these questions and more. When you are in office, you are not Republican or Democrat. You are the elected to uphold the law, enforce it, and be a civil servant - NOT a self-centered, law breaker.

Donini did not creat the brand new jail, it was the commissioners after the tax payers flipped the bill for it. Anyone Sheriff would have had to hire the additional deputies to run it, and the same of of inmates would have gone through it also. Although Donini will release prisoners from the jail without getting prior approval from the judges and then gets his hand slapped and then the prisoners are ordered back by the courts. The commissioners gave Donini a higher budget to run his department. What did he do with some of that money, gave his Chief Deputy and Captains a raise while making his regulaer deputies take a pay cut and one furlough day off without pay. this caem from the Sheriff's own FOP members. My vote will go for Goins, cancells yours vote.

You need to do some research, really check to see how the new jail came about, your information is completely inaccurate. Plus if you informed as you think you are, doing some checking on how much money that new jail revenats each year. Of course they could go back when the old jail was open and the county had to spend hundreds of thousands each year to house them in other counties. There again you prabably don't know anything about that..do some research! As far as letting inmates go, not familiar with that, but I would tend to believe that if they were releasing inmates that weren't supposed to be released on a regular basis that we would have seen something on the news about that. I'm not real familiar with the budget but do some checking of other counties the size of scioto co. I bet you they have twice the budget that scioto co has to work with. I would have to thInk they are doing something right, the doors are still open and they house inmates from other counties to generate revenue. Do your research folks before you vote, be informed and make the right decision for you. I've done some and I can tell you that Portsmouth pd was glad to see Horner gone. I have only spoke with one person that has worked with or for mr Horner that would support him. Donini seems to be doing something right down there, has my vote!

The truth is yeah the new jail and sheriffs department is pretty and its making the commissioners money and it made some jobs all at the expense of the citizens I personally would rather have more deputies on the road enforcing the law, serving warrants, stopping cars, taking drugs off the street, serving court papers, raiding drug houses, investigating crimes and...... well if you dont get the point!!!!!!....the sheriff, chief deputy and their 5-6 high paid captains soak up the rewards from the commissioners all the while the road deputys get paid 32 hours a week and suffer...... you tell me! do you want a sheriffs office or do you want the sheriff to continue running a mini prison to keep the commissioners happy.....as long as the sheriff keeps the checks coming at the citizens expense theyre happy...... all the while were suffering and our county is being over run with crime......

You really need to do some research, you don't even make sense! You say its making the commissioners money and it created some jobs. Would you rather give hundreds of thousands to other counties to house inmates, because that's what they used to do. Or would you rather make money. I would be curious to know how it is costing the "citizens of scioto co" if you have some facts please enlighten me. You say more deputies out patrolling, I couldn't agree more. A county the size of scioto should probably, with the issues the face should probably have double the officers on patrol than what they have now. From what I hear and see in the paper appears they are making plenty of arrests and it seems the pill mills are all gone. But without the jail where would you house all of these inmates? Now me personally tents in an open field with guards posted at each end and side is a good idea, but today I don't think that would fly! You say you want more, and they only work 32 hours. Maybe the cut back to 32 hours was so they didn't have to layoff 5-6 deputies that are out patrolling the streets. Ask everyone to cut 8 hours or send 5-6 home with no paycheck? I just have to believe from my research that the jail was a smart decision for the county and it's people. I would like to see more patrol officers as I'm sure they would as well. Do some research about counties and budgets. Compare other counties the size of scioto to the budget that scioto co sheriff gets.

According to you, we should turn the county into one big prison for pay county! Wouldn't that be nice! FOOL!

According to you we should have more police out serving warrants, drug busts, etc. I couldn't agree more! But once you go out and arrest all of these people what are you going to do with them? If we had it your way, it sounds as if you would like to ship them to other counties and pay hundreds of thousands of dollars of our citizens money. Instead we have a nice facility to house them in that I believe holds around 200. It also houses inmates from other counties to assist in paying for it. Sounds pretty smart to me. I think I would rather see my money spent in scioto co instead of other counties making money. Do some research! I will not lower myself to your standards of name calling, I guess that just shows what kind of person you really are. Do some research folks, be an informed voter and make the right choice. Donini has my vote.
