I won't shop at Walmart. The government tells them what to sell. Therefore, telling you what to buy. No thanks. Sorry to hear about these stores. I shop at several of them regularly. It's only going to get worse though, thanks to the government.

Columbia may close for good.....Someday.

Right now we are waiting for our new retractable roof with HVAC and other equipment to be installed. Once this is completed, we will re-open as an incredibly done Club.

Still to come, even greater shows and times.

For sale---yes. It is what it is. I am getting no younger and there is a big world out there. Seen a lot, not enough!

Have a great one guys!

Go ahead and slam on me...I have thick skin! Besides, your true haters like it!

I didn't vote for Obama!!! I'll shop at Kroger any day, and pay a little extra, so that the workers in my community have their benefits. I also shop at hometown hardware stores instead of Lowes.

Here ya go folks. This is what you all wanted. Hope and Change. Things are going to Change alright, it will get much worse. So then we can all Hope it will get better! Yay! 4 more years! 4 more years! Hey let's all congratulate our leader for his victory. But I wouldn't want to bother him at his very busy job of helping our country through this fiscal crisis. Uh, what's that you say? He's busy packing. For a 20 day vacation. Hawaii. And it will cost us 4 million dollars. Hmmm....oh well, lets not let facts get in our way of celebrating.
Yay! 4 more years!

<quoted text>not one of them offer more than Walmart
They have different products and services not offered by Walmart. Of the items that are carried in both stores, Walmart's products are generally of lower quality. For example:

Staples offers computer repair and print services. They also price match Walmart(or any other competitor) if they do not have the lowest price.

Fashion Bug carries more fashionable clothing.

Dick's Pizza offers specialty dishes exclusive to them, and I'd venture to guess their ingredients are of better quality, containing less preservatives/GMO's/etc.

CMH is a concert venue. Walmart does not offer live music entertainment.

If it is indeed true that these businesses are leaving the area, my condolences go out to all of the employees.

Staples brought it upon themselves. Went there once, asked the clerk for some assistance and he pointed to the back of the store. When I turned back around from looking where he pointed, he had already ran away from me. Service like that wont win u many customers.

Dicks pizza is a family business and if those in charge don't have a younger generation able or willing to take over it will b doomed to closure but not through failure.

Isolated and anecdotal, at best.

Are you implying that customer service at Walmart is better?

Staples is going out in New Boston?? Must be why their clerks are sending customers to other stores, and not honoring their sales ads?? Rude clerks.
