Since someone can't consent while drunk, it's rape right?

If someone's dating a drunk or a drug user, shouldn't there be an investigation, to look into the possibility of them doing illegal things? Oh wait, the absence of a legal consent only matters when it comes to valued members of society, right?

The way a society picks its battles, clearly depicts its hypocrisy.

Why am I attacking these laws? Because they're saying that I'm not usually cognitive enough to know what I want, and that's ridiculous. Also, I believe that consent should be required from a person before permanently and unnecessarily mutilating their genitals. Baby-cutting is wrong, and does damage just like forcible rape does. According to the DMSIV definitions, it qualifies as torture. Also, studies show that it alters their behavior long-term. That means they remember, and are effected by it.

It's the 21st century, and uti's are now easily treatable, so there's no excuse to continue doing it. If you want to justify it as a preventative measure, then all girls need to have their breasts removed at birth, because there's a much greater chance they'll have medical issues (cancer) than an intact male. 75% of the world does not do this to their children, and they are fine.

The practice is gender biased and sexually discriminating. Unless a man had a foreskin and lost it as an adult, he has no right to say what body parts a child should be allowed to have, as he has no idea what he himself is missing. Mothers should be protecting their sons when they're little and vulnerable. At least educate yourselves as to what you're doing.

If you're still unsure about this, please watch this short video made by a medical student.

You need to stop your obsession about the foreskins and penises of other men and little babies.

You sound like a sick puppy and a pervert.

It's people that strap others down, and do it to them, that are either ignorant or sick. I don't believe it's right to do something that's unnecessary, and proven to cause harm.

I would be considered an inactivist, in that I advocate against it. You can make a counterargument, but please, don't resort to insults, just because you're bothered by the topic.

As a person who likes to consider himself somewhat moral, I believe it's a duty to get information out about all the dirty things no one else what's to talk about.

Would you like to explain why you perceive this as a sexual issue?

The only connection is laws that deal with consent, and the fact that it should be considered abuse. People should have to consent to any unnecessary cutting.

Did you know that they sell the skins?

Operah Winfrey had someone on her show selling them to women who like to wear baby skin on their face. It makes them feel fresh and new, I guess. Now that's sick! Would they do it if it were baby girl parts?

People need to stop and think about what they're doing.

So, that would mean that all urologists are pervs? How about sex-ed teachers, are they pervs too?

Anyways, I quit thinking about it hours ago, but I'll argue with you till the sun goes down, if you like. However long it takes for you to sort out your feeling about this, I'll be here....

What's something you do that you believe serves a good cause? I have a long list of changes I'd like to see, and I try to advocate for those changes.

If it were eyelid removal that people thought was a cool look for others to have; and they did it before the person could object, I'd be speaking against that too.

The fact that this is still being done, defies logic, and is a true sign that we're still in the dark ages. Science has advanced faster than humanity can keep up with.

I would like to never see or hear anything about this again, but the fact that it's still going on, haunts me. I'm sorry, but I have to do whatever I can do.

Is there a reason that this subject is so difficult for you? Maybe you'd prefer to talk about abortion, or something more manly, like war? Then again, maybe we should just gossip and tell lies...sling useless petty insults?

My main concern is for the defenseless. Am I projecting? Of course, but at least I'm trying to put my rage to good use. I didn't have a voice to object when it was done to me, but I have one now. I'm not little anymore, and can no longer be silenced.

The prison code demands silence, and some of the worst atrocities are committed under its cover. It leaves its victims alone and helpless, as their dignity fades.

I'm sorry, but I'll die first before I'll be bullied into silence, while others continue to be hurt.

if you are talking about circumcision, you are correct, at least un my case. it does have lifelong effect on your life, in my case, i have MUCH MORE CONFIDENCE than i would if i had to worry about whether my partner (always femele) thinking i might be dirty down there... if ya don'thave a dick, don't try to impose your misguided and biased opinion on others

Women usually are the ones who have the most bacteria...smegma, yeast, various uti's. And yet you seem to be indicating that it's women's tastes that are basically deciding if us men should be allowed to keep all of our erogenous tissue, or have 1/3 of it cut off? And yet *they're the ones who have groups to advocate for their rights...
I mean, if you want to get it done, that's fine, as long as you're the one that decides it. Just think about it though, you could just clean it like you do your ears. If women were grossed out by earwax, would you remove you ears? How about your babies ears? don't you see the insanity in this?

Cutting healthy tissue from a non-consenting person, that will cause a lot of pain, discomfort, possible life-threatening infections, and dis-figuration, is wrong, yes. God didn't create every male with a birth defect, it's just a cultural perception.

you are so full of it, the foreskin of a penis is very similar to the outer labia of a woman.. no blood vesels, very few, if any nerve endings... where is all this pain coming from... watch this you know it all and report back to your spaceship

replace/possible/with/possibly
The question should be 'why should...' instead of 'Why shouldn't...' There was a medical student once doing his residency, and was trying to do things, but didn't really know what to do. The physician in charge told him 'don't just do something, stand there!'.

There is a rather large body of research studies that shows evidence of this procedure causing harm, both physically and psychologically.

It's just being ignored. Partly because men live in denial, can't think of themselves as being victimized, as it's not manly, and their egos have been swollen with lies. Women might be more likely to deny it's harmful because of guilt, as it's something that compromises the maternal duty to protect the young.

There's a great interview with a urologist and a rabi which illustrates this state of denial well. It's from 1980 something...if you want the link.

Click the link on the first post, and you can see a very good presentation of some of this research. It's by a medical student for his doctoral thesis, called An Elephant in the Hospital. It's only 10 minutes long.
