If someone's dating a drunk or a drug user, shouldn't there be an investigation, to look into the possibility of them doing illegal things? Oh wait, the absence of a legal consent only matters when it comes to valued members of society, right?
The way a society picks its battles, clearly depicts its hypocrisy.
Why am I attacking these laws? Because they're saying that I'm not usually cognitive enough to know what I want, and that's ridiculous. Also, I believe that consent should be required from a person before permanently and unnecessarily mutilating their genitals. Baby-cutting is wrong, and does damage just like forcible rape does. According to the DMSIV definitions, it qualifies as torture. Also, studies show that it alters their behavior long-term. That means they remember, and are effected by it.
It's the 21st century, and uti's are now easily treatable, so there's no excuse to continue doing it. If you want to justify it as a preventative measure, then all girls need to have their breasts removed at birth, because there's a much greater chance they'll have medical issues (cancer) than an intact male. 75% of the world does not do this to their children, and they are fine.
The practice is gender biased and sexually discriminating. Unless a man had a foreskin and lost it as an adult, he has no right to say what body parts a child should be allowed to have, as he has no idea what he himself is missing. Mothers should be protecting their sons when they're little and vulnerable. At least educate yourselves as to what you're doing.
