haha bravo on the childish name calling. 16 is the legal age of consent in Ohio, no matter the age of the other person. At that time only the PARENTS of the "minor" can press charges against the older party involved. and what's that old saying... Can't rape the willing? Trust me that woman was more than willing.

Fine. I was wrong about the age of consent, nor do I think she was unwilling. The point I'm making is that your beloved DeCamp was a teacher in a position of power entrusted not to violate appropritae teacher/student boundaries. You East Sheep are ridiculous.

<quoted text>I guess a way to respond is that most the people that live and send their kids to EPE dont do it to not be part of the community. I was personally told my child could participate in both Sciotoville and Portsmouth activities, that they had that option since we were a part of the Sciotoville community. My son, like many others, has attended EPE since preschool and he dont want to transfer. He says he will miss his friends. He had the option (and still would have had the option till I was told That EPE kids/parents are not part of this community). A lot of the kids that attend EPE do not have an option (for various reason) and many are comfortable where they are, SEA doesnt even have enough room for all the kids at EPE. Until now there has never been an issue with it and the kids dont know any difference. They go to school and play sports with their friends (from various schools)in Sciotoville. They shouldnt have to know any different. And parents should be given ultimatums, "strong arming" people ius not the way to get kids to transfer.
As far as they can or cant play. I was told EPE kids can not play for sciotoville community, key words community. It is not school affiliated. If the schools start funding the peewee leagues than its no longer an issue. However, even though some kids, like mine could still play I would have to drive 20 min 1 way to Portsmouth or to another area; when I usually drive 2 blocks. A lot of kids around here will not be able to play at all because of this decision. They wont have transportation! As for a starting a team , I would have to look into it...BUT the kids shouldnt have to be divided they should be able to play with the others like they always have. I dont want that . Many other don't want that. We want the community to correspond like a community, not 2 different communities.....N yes I was told we (EPE'ers) are not part of the community by the president of Sciotoville community schools school board.
If this was involving different areas like burg and minford, which are in 2 totally different areas, I wouldnt agree with it but I would understand it a little more. These schools are in the same community, and many of the kids at EPE are a part of this community. So its not like we are trying to play in another community, we are trying to play in the area we live.
I hope this better helps explain. I was not trying to attack, as I do not feel you attacked me or anyone else on here.
Sadly EPE would not let sciotoville basketball league use there school

I don't agree to the fact we couldnt use their gyms. We all pay taxes here and it shouldnt had been any problem. Hek we had a lot of EPE kids playing, it made sense to use their gyms. Not to mention we could have really used the extra space to practice! I personally tried to call the super myself, but never spoke with him.

However, I have talked to someone who is willing to help us get use of the gyms etc. Hopefully that can all be worked out on....Hopefully lots of positive change soon :)

Exactly, can't rape the willing and LSL and her family was fine with the relationship. They didn't hide it her family new an allowed them to date. It only became and issue when she didn't get her way. Her husband finally got sick of the antics and hauled but as fast as he could. Just can't imagine what took him so long.

I cannot get over all this nonsense talk. I am one that puts Joe Collins and Bill Shope up on a throne. And I will continue to do so. They are good, honest men who I have seen stand up for our children in Sciotoville and surrounding communities they never turn no child away. And Foresta is just as wonderful!! And by the way I am not"in the loop" I am a parent, and a grandparent whose grandchildren attend SEA and I have only seen wonderful things happen there with our children and staff.

I have once again spoke with Bill. The issue regarding this thread has been resolved. In the heat of a disagreement things got a little out of control. Which at one time or another has happened to us all.

This thread has turned into nothing but a bunch of "bashing" of a lot of good people, and some I dont even know. People this isnt necessary. I personally lowered my standards and posted on here, but at least I can say I did it with good reason and have not only put my name with my words, but have been dealing with the situation outside of topix as well. This is by far not the best means of fixing problems, but is something I felt forced to do.

To any of you I offended, I apologize.

How in the world has a topic like Pee Wee football turned into a fight about rape and all this other stuff? Get yourselves together, man. All of the children are going to suffer. This IS about the kids isn't it?

I have many friends who went to East and some still live there. I have nothing against either school really. But it's a shame to read such trite, petty, adult BS. My son played basketball there, we were visitors from another school. The school was nice and clean and I was happy to be in the school after such a long time. I was impressed by a list of "Rules" to live by that was in the cafeteria. The jest of it was to be nice, not to bully, treat others like you would like to be treated, just generally show some some respect. I hope it's still there. If not dig it up and read it at one of your meetings. Remember, your kids are watching and they can read!!!!

Girl, your doin a good enough job with what you have now. My kids told me that Topix was a gossip column.
After reading this story about the higher echelon and how ready they are to trash each other in public forum, the kids were more than right. How could either school keep anyone of you in your present positions is beyond me!,
Don't know you Ashley and do not intend to pick on you but your statement says it all. All of you need a life.

is it bashing when it is the truth? bullying, nepotism, drug use, student teacher relationship. you people don't want to hear about it but it has continued in sciotoville for years and will because the community accepts it!

How long did you accept it. Move is the best alternative, you can always visit home and friends when you are making a living in a healthy community..........look at the city and county governments, no vision nor future here..........
Sorry but it's only the truth. Hopefully you are not a co-dependent with this your community?
There is not win-win here, it's winners and losers..........
Sort of like what's happening on the national level but Scioto County governments have been doing that for decades. It's a cancer on the community and no one steps forward to cure it and those who are in power don't know how to cure it or don't want to cause they are doing OK on the Dole. Scioto County's 1%.........
i haven't yet and definitely not co-dependent .i was only stating the truth also.
