Somc does suck. I went there after having a total hysterectomy four weeks later... U was complaining of abdominal pain so they did a caravan well the Dr came in and said you have enlarged lymph nodes so they sent me home with some pain meds which I didn't take I am allergic to lortab it's in my file they didn't even give me an allergy band so my hubby told them no and get something else ...anyways I went to the Dr and the Dr said Vatican showed a huge hernia causing pain and the nurses have no reason to be rude nor ignore people. Not very one that comes I. there is I. Welfare and have good insurance and doesn't just come in complaining for no.reason.

Yes, and McDonald's employees steal food scraps, so they must be very addicted too, or maybe they're just starving? Lets face it though, there are many more thieves in your area then there are real addicts. However, when people go to the ER, they usually don't feel well, and some of them want something for it. In the past, your local doctors have written large amounts of pain pills, and some people almost never writes Oxycontin, so that's not what we're talking about here. It's mostly just hydrocodone. Some people are lazy and sit at home all day playing video games. I guess they have a serious illness like addiction too? It couldn't be that they're just lazy...could it?

The doctors who wrote the so-called prescriptions for "pain pills" were working in the pill mills. All but one were imported by the owners of the pill mills. The one doctor who is a local person had her own facility; she lost her license. Addicts rob people at gunpoint, commit burglaries and home invasions, steal from family members--whatever they have to do to pursue their chosen drug addiction. The ER is for serious injuries or illnesses that cannot wait until a doctor's regular office hours. Too many people use it for trivial, non-necessary medical reasons.

Tom wrote: The ER is for serious injuries or illnesses that cannot wait until a doctor's regular office hours. Thanks for clearing that up. It seems that SOMC staff have been trained to defend themselves by deflecting any and all criticism onto any addict available. The truth is though, that SOMC is just terribly unprofessional. I could say the same for many of your businesses though. For example, on my way through last week, I stopped for gas, and before I could give them my money and leave, I got an ear full from the cashier on the phone. She cussed, used profanity, and never even bothered to set the phone down while she took a break and did her job. Who wants to go in places like that? Leave the area for a while, and you'll realize, it's not the hydrocodone that's causing the locals to behave like they do. Other areas have illicit drugs like heroin and cocaine, but you don't see the staff being lazy and acting like jerks.

I have to deal with them on a regular basis and about 75% of them are very rude and hateful. I really don't get why they feel it necessary to try and ruin every persons day that they interact with. Then go as far as to try and affect someones job because they didnt cater to their sweet little needs. Also, those fu**ing ER nurses think they are the most fantastic things on this planet. News flash motherfu**ers, its Portsmouth and only about anyone who wants can become a nurse. I wouldnt take a dying dog there to be treated if I had no other choice. They are terrible. THANK GOD FOR KDMOTHERFU**INGC! Get here soon!

I have been to somc ER a few times. The nurses are in general rude and lazy. they don't check on their patients and try to make you feel dumb. Which I find funny, since I know a good majority of them. A lot of rejects from other facilities were they could not cut it. Most of them can not work anywhere else because other facilities would not put up with it. As far as the addicts showing up in the ER, why? Addicts would not be there unless they know they will get something. That is the ER doctors problem. they can check OARS to see if they have history of narcotic use. Every addict in town and surrounding areas know that the biggest pill mill in county isn't from Wheelersburg it is somc. DEA needs to look into their prescribing practice.
