How does the management treat you? Do you like your job?

At kmarts pink paper doesnt mean your fired, it means you have work to do. You will do whats on the pink paper to the best of your ability. If you cant complete it dont sweat it. One half hour time limit to do a chore on the list might last for days whoever. Dont worry about it. The time limits are to stress you into working faster.

Actually quite brilliant.

I like the store....however, the staff and especially check out leaves MUCH to be desired!

maybe, JUST MAYBE if management treated their employees like humans and not slaves they would put more effort into what they do at work. maybe JUST MAYBE their turnover rate would go down and they wouldnt have to hire new employees every other month, and they could have the store staffed with employees who have been trained. and why is it that the same circle of old women who have been there since the dawn of time who do nothing but shuffle their feet get employee of the month when ther are others there who everyday they work, bust their tail ends off, never call off, never come in late get treated like dirt? management is running that store into the ground?

AND MAYBE JUST MAYBE if the managers actually *knew* how to manage and perform THEIR job correctly the employees would follow. hard to help customers if you're on the floor with a toothbrush in your hand.

Unless you have worked for them, you have no idea. It is impossible to do your job to meet the expectations of this company. Been there done that. I know.

On your job would you approve of your boss screaming and yelling at you in front of co workers and total strangers? How would you react to such behavior?

I have to agree that there is a couple ppl in management running that place to the ground.. Not to mention a couple leads that have been there since that store opened that are real pieces of work also... Someone should call corporate...

It would do NO GOOD to call corporate office. They don't care about the employees more than the local management team does, probably less.

managers from most to least favorite

jim g --fun to joke with, no negative interactions so far, very down to earth towards me

joe --has leadership qualities, happy to work for joe, some pple dont like him but he is ok in my book. will make a good store manager imho

jim b --on the verge of retirement. can be very grouchy at times, not much to say about him because we never see him.

TONYA --all caps because i screamed it. psycho slut from hell. squat fat old woman with glasses that can usually be found at the service desk with a whip and an executioners axe. when she is absent from the service desk and at the delight of ALL working up front, she can be found walking the store with a shotgun and somehow drawn to people wearing blue shirts. she likes to accuse those she managed to trap of not doing their job and threatens write ups constantly. she loves to argue and i think she does this for pure pleasure. seriously bad example of a person in integrity and leadership.

Lets talk about the dayshift fulltimers a moment. I have also seen this. Every time i work dayshift i get so mad i want to walk out. When i am on dayshift, i am usually met by one of these old crones and immediately given half their workload. They do this in the disguise of "jim wants you to do this." Even though i know better, i get to work anyway. As i am working i notice these old bats in 1 isle all day long. What are they doing? With RMU in hand they pick an item off the shelf and scan it, look at the display on the RMU and set it back where it came from. Rinse and repeat for their whole shift. Do they answer calls? NO! Do they respond to code C's? NO NO NO! Is it also in their job description? YES! Also of note, when they are dealing with a customer and the customer requests an item off the top shelf, do they go and get a ladder? NO!~!!!!!!!! They find someone younger to do it for them when they are perfectly capable of doing it themselves. Roxanne, Cheryl and Marylin are very bad about this. LAZY.

I have seen these old bats pick a quiet corner of the store and hide there all day, scanning items in the rinse and repeat manor. I cant think of any job in the store that requires this.

The only time they do work is when they are told by one of the jims to do something and theres no one else around to pawn it off on. Theres another guilty woman but i wont mention her for personal reasons, although she is just as guilty as the rest and gets employee of the month very often.

WHY DO THESE LAZY PEOPLE DESERVE EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH AND FULL TIME STATUS AND HOURS WHEN THEY DO FAR LESS WORK COMBINED THEN JUST ONE OF THE PART TIME EMPLOYEES? THE VERY SAME PART TIMES WHO ARE SCARED SHITLESS OF GETTING WROTE UP BY TONYA AND TERMINATED.

What makes me mad is the fact that they will cut your hours just so they can hire someone else.. Which makes NO sense to me at all!!

Be thankful you have a job. If you don't like it, go somewhere else!

It's one way of getting rid of undesirables.
