<quoted text>well let me just say when i knock on someones door on a repo, if i think they are home.....i keep knocking until the come to the door. No matter how long that takes. people will try to ignore you they will tell their kids and the dogs to hush so we think they arent home but if i know someone is there i'm going to knock until the face the music and talk to me. Also, I dont know why he shot him so many times maybe he will still coming at him. I don't know. But until you have put your life on the line doing this type of work, you don't know how you would react.
This is pure bulls**t. No one has the right to terrorize someone this way. The Stakers sound like a bunch of bullies to me and the son sounds like a little hothead. I hope they both pay for what they've done.

Will there really be donuts? If so, I'll wake up the kids early. I'm sure they would enjoy it more with the donuts. They love them. Not a fan of Tim Horton's myself but the kiddos enjoy it.

i dont have a dog in this fight. Why is it ok to hide from someone you owe? That seems to be the philosopy in this town. It's ok to keep something you havent paid for. Everyone wants something for nothing. All I am saying is if he had done the right thing in the first place this wouldnt have happened. Make sure what you chose is worth what you lose.

Still didn't give the Stakers the right to terrorize this family. If everyone did this to someone that owed them money, this world would be a sad place. Thing is, most people don't act the way the Stakers did. In my opinion it takes a low life to do someone the way they did the Holsinger family. I believe if it had been Mr. Holsinger that had killed one of the Stakers and claimed self defense, he would have been arrested on the spot and charged with murder. In my opinion, it's sad to think that people who have connections can away with things like this

Why r they putting mowers out on credit anyway?? If a man can't afford it or get a loan stay away from it that's stupid business! R they that hard up for business?????? Sounds like it!!!

If I shot someone for every time I've been had by shady business in this town. Or loan not paid back or services not done right after being paid IDE have to buy a graveyard to bury everybody!!!!!

Anyone else having a problem with "We think Staker had his CCW". This was quoted from today's paper. Isn't the applying process through the sheriff's department. Anyone want to roll the dice on if he really had it?

Donini has to know if he has a CCW. Since he's the only one been in office when the law passed. If he' only 22 I've had my CCW for 4 years and Donini signed it.

All the comments over rite and wrong. The thing is a man is dead. There are 3 children without a father and a wife without a husband. The lawn mower was not worth a mans life and destroying the lives of his family. He had parents and siblings and children. His life meant a lot to all the people that loved him. All the people who think the What the Stakers did was ok, well since you all seem to "live in glass houses" stop throwing stones. As if any of you have never had any hard times before. Sure several things should have been done differently. But still a man is dead !!!!!! I'm fairly sure the bible doesn't say a life for a mower. What happened to humanity???? A man is dead over a mower!!!!!!!! That is not rite. No matter how you look at it ..... The Stakers should have left and came back during business hours not that late at night. ONCE AGAIN 3 CHILDREN ARE LEFT WITHOUT A FATHER. Who will support them, who will teach them sports, or take them fishing, who will be there for them. Not there father now because his life was takin away so part of there life was takin away.... The economy has been bad for a long while, but now people's humanity seems to be gone as well, all the comments about supporting the Stakers in this people a man is dead over a lawn mower !!!!!!!!!! Sit back and think for just a minute what would happen to your family if someone killed you?? Look into your children's faces and imagine what they would go thru. This started over a lawn mower but now look where it is and all that's happened and all that will happen because of bad decisions and bad tempers with a gun, what's next shooting people cause they look at you wrong? The worst part what is this teaching young people and children. And now we all know were not even safe in our own homes on our own property. What if a bullet would have strayed. What if his wife would have walked out. Or one of his children. Would they have shot them. They should be charged with child endangerment as well. No mower is worth a persons life. Nothing is worth killing another person over. Self defense is one thing but this was far from it.

Sorry but after reading all of the post on here, I dont see how some of you can side with the Stakers. I dont personally know any of the sides but I am friends with a few of Holsingers family and know what tragic this has brought to their lives. One thing I did notice though is if they are claiming self defense please explain to me why the other guy never shot not once even if the gun was pointed at him. And sorry but unless I wanted to kill someone I would not aim at their head/cheast nor fire 5 times. Why couldnt they have just shot the arm he was holding the gun with or something?? This is all just so crazy. NO LIFE is worth a lawnmower. My heart goes out to the whole family especially the Wife and Kids. RIP STEVE!!!

This isnt the movies sweetheart. It is actually pretty hard to hit a target, such as an arm, especially at night. 5 shots takes about 2 seconds to squeeze off. And Holsinger didnt shoot because he was trying to intimidate, not to kill, the problem was is that he struck fear into a gun carrier that wasnt afraid to use it. Sorry to say it, but when you fear for you life you are allowed to defend yourself. He also could have just called the police, none of this would have happened.

Did you read that HOlsinger stuck a gun in Staker's face? Did anyone read that? What would you do if someone stuck a gun in your face, say, hold on,I'm going to call the sheriff?
No.
if he stuck a gun in his face, how in the hell did he get a chance to pull out a gun & shoot the man 5xs!? Don't you think that just maybe holsinger would have got a shot in??
