I hope you're comfortable to do slave labor for minimum wage out in the factory while the big shots on the administration side make $85k+ to schedule tee times and vacations during work hours.

I made no such sweeping generalization, sir. The odds for repeat behavior are high, it's just a statistical fact.

I commend you on successfully reintegrating into society.

Personally, I feel that VK's hiring practices are exploitative. They know persons with a criminal record are some of only people willing to work so hard for such little pay. Equal work warrants equal pay, regardless of history, IMO.

Don't sell yourself short. There is a ton of free training online for all sorts of skilled jobs, if you're willing to search and self-study. There's no reason to spend years and money at a vocational school when all of the material can be found online for free.

I studied for a certification online using nothing but free materials found using Google and was hired as a service technician in about 5 weeks making $17/hr. I know plenty of people who got into electrical, plumbing, hvac, pc repair, etc all the same way.

Perfect set up...fire and hire temporary/part time..under 30 hrs will keep this company from having to provide Obamacare as required by law if over 50 employees.????? Would save them much...just a thought.

The admin were astounded by the number of actual good reliable employees that were lost some being employed for more than 10 years with perfect attendance and no disciplinary actions. Funny thing is...as employees were walked out the big white van full of recovering addicts pulled up out front and unloaded to apply for these jobs. Planned, I think soo. As VK would only have to pay these individuals ~1/2 the regular pay of a regular employee and the state picks up the rest.
wow

some people try to straighten their lives out, so they get a job, I think hiring felons is awesome. Keeps from needing to do illegal crap to make a living-of course not everyone will change, but those who hit bottom the hard way have a good chance of fixing their lives!
And it begins

yea, I agree the way things are looking.. they are just going to keep weeding out people.. think about it they have already started to. An with the economy and businesses closing. MC D's isn't looking too bad.
Sad if ya think about it. Those old si-fi under ground subway movies( escape from NY or something like that or robo cop) are starting to look a lil to much in the regard of where we are heading and what can actually happen. Just my thought.

The people who lost their jobs (which was a pretty good chunk), more than likely wont be able to find jobs anytime soon. Than the sh*t starts to hit the fan.
