Does anyone know any of the details about the arrest of Dr. Khoury on Saturday night 12/26 for Domestic Violence? There isn't much info about it in the paper.

Domestic violence is a joke. You can be charged with it by just yelling at someone. No more than a traffic ticket these days.
I hear it all the time. The wife will start a big fight with the guy, call the cops, have him arrested for DV, then later she's out in the bars with her boy friend. She knows he's in jail and won't catch her. LOL
Usually, it's more heavy on Friday night.
Then she has the whole weekend, goes in Monday morning and drops the charges after shes partied all weekend while he was in jail.
That's why when I see someone that's been arrested for DV I don't give it a second thought.
Now sometimes I know it is really DV if someone gets battered. But that doesn't happen very often these days.

Hey Tomorrow!! I wasn't asking for your personal theory on the law! If you don't know then go troll someone else's post.

I don't really give a hoot what you say you want. We all know you only want to cause trouble by even posting such garbage to start with.

Tomorrow, you really should get a life and stop sitting on these boards all day.

I was wondering if maybe the wife caught him with the GF or something and maybe he hit her?

Tiger's wife you mean? I'll bet that's one night she wished she hadn't fought with him. Now look at all the money she is losing right along with him.

Tomorrow...Tigers' wife never had anything(husband that is) to begin with so losing him is the best thing that could ever happen to her. She has plenty without him.

She is losing a lot of money though isn't she? The more you have the more you want, right? Is there ever enough money?

This is a very unfortunate thing. Everyone has issues. No matter who you are. Just because a person has money doesn't mean they are not human. I agree with tomorrow.

You're right with ONE thing, the charge for DV is a joke! But let me say one thing, TRUST me when I say ALL calls are not a joke! Would you like to know why more DV victims do not stand up? Because all that happens is a slap on the wrist. The charge would be more serious if you assaulted a stranger on the street. Before there is an arrest made, some sort of physical evidence is needed ie. bruising, blood, etc. Going to court and facing someone that you love, and saying he/she did this is THE hardest thing in life to do. Take it from someone who has been there, I've had the slaps, black eyes, bloodied nose, being shoved down so hard you get softball sized bruises on the butt, kicked, gun pointed right at your head! you hear the excuses, the "i love you, i promise it will never happen again". So do not take these charges lightly! More women need to stand up and say ENOUGH! I'm sure there are some that use this charge to their advantage, but not all. I would hate for 1 true DV victim to read what you wrote and think, what's the point of calling for help. If you do not make that call for help, the next time it maybe to late.

I totally agree with you. I endured the same along with 2 broken ribs and a broken nose. I was lucky that when he pulled out a gun and shot it into the air to show me it was loaded that a neighbor called the police.
I don't know the severity of this particular case here or what happened but the DV charge for this guy is a 1st Degree Misdemeanor.

Jo-Jo I guess that makes us both survivors! Along with you, I don't know the severity of this case. I'm sure that you know as well as I do that there is so much mental abuse that goes on before they lay a hand on you, you start to feel like you deserve being treated like that. I was taken to the ER for a suspected broken neck, luckily it wasn't. I was one of the few that showed up for court to make sure charges werent dropped. I wanted the next woman to know she wasnt alone, and had a way out. That's what I want my message to be, you are not alone, and for women to KNOW it's not their fault!
