I don't know a lot about the investment side, have a few family members that are in it on that end though. I can say that I switched last April to Ambit delivering my electric service, instead of the grid, and my savings over the year with more usage has been in excess of $800 over the last 11 months. Granted the weather has not been that bad, but all in all, I can see a difference in my bill.....

Would I invest in being a consultant, no....that is not up my alley, but for others that i know they at least got their investments back...

Taxpayer, you're exactly right. It's a pyramid. Anywhere you go today, you'll find yourself in a pyramid. Do you have a job? Guess what? You're at the bottom of that pyramid. You have your managers, their bosses, the ceo's and the owner all above you in that pyramid. I'm extremely excited to be a part of the Ambit family. Financially, it's been better than any job I've ever had or could ever imagine, and it's built on residual income. I could stop everything that I'm doing right now, and as long as people continue to pay their electric bill, I have income coming in. As for a scam, no. We've been around for 6 years, maintained an 'A' rating with the BBB the entire 6 years, we're listed in INC 500 as the fastest growing company in America, listed numerous times in Success Magazine, I've been in the same room with self-made millionaires through Ambit, and I'm a quarter of the way there myself. In Ambit, you'll find people from all walks of life - doctors, lawyers, police men and women, firemen and women - there's even a justice of the peace among us. I've been doing this for about 4 years now, so if you have any doubt that this is 100% legit - you're 100% wrong.

Many people view this as a "Pyramid", However, it is actually called Network Marketing or multi-level marketing and it is anything BUT a scheme.

It works great and has worked for many years with several reputable companies like Avon, Mary Kay, Ameriplan, etc....The list goes on and on for reputable companies that use this type of marketing.

The idea is that word of mouth spreads like wild fire and that's how people make a GREAT living from companies that choose to market this way. Hope this helps those that are confused.

As far as the services....I am a HAPPY customer and I earn FREE electricity!

My neighbors are consultants of this company. They keep trying to push us into it. A reputable company wouldn't train their consultants to push.

The reason people push is the more you sigh up the less you pay on your bill until you are actually getting FREE services.. After that you actually start to make money with everyone you sign up. Each month you get a residual check, the more people you sign up the bigger your check gets..

It's NOT easy money but if you put work into it you can make some good cash! Case in point.

I know a guy who owns a bunch of gas wells in the area.. He says he gets a bigger check from ambit then he does from his companies profit.

Jill, you are correct. However Ambit Energy discourages a pushy consultant. I would assume that your neighbors are either new or they are lacking the training they need to become successful which is making them desperate.

Personally, I am a consultant and if someone tells me no that they are not interested I go on. I don't need to beg to get customers or consultants as I know how to utilize the internet to get what I need without bothering my family and friends. Once my friends and family see how well I do they eventually come around and want me to show them:)

Sorry you are having to deal with pushy neighbors but the services are great!

My concern is the manner that the "consultants" are told to get their family, friends, neighbors to switch. It is so transparently indoctrination that it is creepy. It is all creepy. You can go straight to national Grid's websight and sign up one of many providers of electricity.

I have been contacted by more then one consultant. They are pushy. And have you seen some of these consultants, they are the type that only want to get rich fast. Good Luck, like someone said "AMWAY"

Is Ambit a scam?

You figure it out

National Grid this month .02117 per KW Ambit .0412646 Per KW

Anyway you spin it Ambit fans/consultants/etc. The cost is double what the utility price is.

And you get to pay them a fee to represent them. Sweet Deal!!

My E address is [email protected] am a transit bus operator and a volunteer Fire Chief in PA. If you would like to know them, please don't hesitate to get back with me.

As with any company...prices will vary. Sometimes they are cheaper and sometimes they cost more.

I'm not sure about all the states but I do know in Texas that all of the major energy providers are now working the Network Marketing approach....meaning independent consultants have the power to earn a commission from customers they bring in and they earn commission from the customers their consultants under them bring in.

So, I would like to ask if this is a scam then why are so many major corporations turning to this business structure?

I encourage all of you to research the network marketing field.

I am an Ambit Energy consultant and I have been for over a year. I enjoy the freedom it allows me so that I am able to be the MOM I have always wanted to be. I do not pressure any of my friends, family, or neighbors into anything.

Of course my current customers are so happy with the services that I receive new customers on a regular basis all because of word of mouth:)I have a few testimonies on my facebook page...they are all handwritten and signed by my customers if any of you choose to take a look: http://www.facebook.com/Joinjennie

I hope you all have a blessed day!
