This would sound like a suicide act. I feel bad for the guy driving the truck that hit him.

Gosh, semi trucks have made the news a lot lately.

This guy could have been under the influence or suicidal. Why else would someone run out in front of a semi on a busy highway?

I agree with Kim. That poor truck driver must be going through all kinds of guilt.

Was the guy's car broke down on the side of the road? I can't think of any other reason to be even walking on a freeway.

hmmmmmm, that's why I think it was a suicide. The article made it sound like he deliberately ran in front of the truck.

I would think that if it was someone whose car broke down, the story would have said "motorist struck and killed by semi truck." But the story says "pedestrian."

Just wish there were more details so that we wouldn't have to speculate like this.

hope truck driver sees this post. from the story i read, this was a suicide. You did NOTHING wrong. i hope if you still want to drive, you do not have a company safty dept. who feels the driver is always wrong. my thoughts are with you and your family.
i would like to say to other readers that it is nice to not see a rash of anti-trucker post. most drivers are good guys just trying to make a living. thank you for remembering that.

How many of you busy bodys were present at the time of the accident? It sounds to me like their are too many "Dick Tracy" types doing too much speculating. Have a little respect for the families of both parties and don't offer your "expert" opinion until the facts are determined as facts.

Were you there? Care to share what your problem is .... nobody said anything bad or accused anyone of anything.

I live in the GR area and it is not uncommon to see someone try to cross the freeway in high traffic. I personally would be scared to death to do it, but I assume they all had their reasons. Most of them make it across safely.

All one sentence. Gives me a headache just to read it. Anyway, a man is dead and the truck driver is probably going through a mental h*** of his own. Both of these guys and their families need our prayers.

This is a public forum and people have a right to chat about their opinions. No one has accused anyone of anything or said anything bad about either person involved. Sorry to the family

Amen! Getting tired of being told I have no right to speak. I don't tell them to "shut up" I use complete sentences and spell much better than most of them telling us to stop sharing our opinions.
Google toolbar has a spell check button and Mozilla firefox performs the spell check and grammar check automatically. As for sentences well... I guess they should have paid closer attention in English class while they were in school.

I agree they have no right to tell us what we can post, but did you just in so many words call them stupid how is that different than them telling you to shut up. I think when the family does come on we just have to ignore them and let them say their piece.

I have gotten into plenty of aguments with people on this site, which is why I changed my name, and it can be very frustrating, I was going crazy, I finally decided to just let it roll off my back, and keep in mind everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Keep in mind, when you are posting people can not see your face, hear your voice and because of that I think people take what we write in the wrong way.

One other thing, I know we all have our opinions, but sometimes our opinions are turning into gossip, and I think that is what we have start being careful with.

Daily Horoscope for March 22

Leo

Even love at first sight is possible, Leo, but remember that such heady feelings usually fade with time. Those of you who have a significant other should consider doing something spontaneous now. Even if you have 2.4 children and a lawn to mow, you need to do something unplanned on occasion.
