Exhibit brings Civil War-era Middletown to life

When Pvt. Robert Hubbard died at the battle of Antietam in 1862, a farmer in Maryland arranged to have his body sent home so he could be buried at the New Farm Hill Cemetery on Ridge Road.

this is an ok article,but i wish it would say more about the motivations of men from lichfield county to enlist in the union army during the civil war.
