you can stand up for the officer all that you like but, there is no way that you or anyone else alive can make me or my family belive and know that the right thing was done in this case. can you honestly tell me that you do? if so i want you to tell his mother that her son deserved to bleed to death from only 3 gun shot wounds. one in the back shoulder area and 2 in the butt by a sheriff
No one has to make you believe anything at all. Everyone will have their own opinion. By the way, you can easily bleed to death with only one wound.
It is simple to Monday morning quarterback this thing, bottom line is none of us were there and have no idea of what happened other than what we read (and we all know that newspapers are seldom correct with all of the facts). The way this thing was first reported the media would have you believe that this guy was shot from a distance while running away...well that was reported wrong. I can say that if someone had just fought with me, tried to get away, and kept placing his hand in a pocket after being told not to-say goodbye.

Can't help but think of all the people who will never be victims of Atkinson now, thanks to the deputy. All of you who knew him and have written about what a good kid he was should stop trying to pull the wool over eyes...have you all forgot the harm he has caused countless victim?? Early release after early release got him more and more arrogant! I'm sure the 80 yr old man who got beat nearly to death when he caught Zach robbing him feels safer today, as do most of us who aren't blind to who Zach really was...a career criminal who was only getting more violent! Kudos to the deputy because the system sure didn't work with Zach
