What a shame that Vito is using the flag and all it stands for to satisfy his own agenda. Though not illegal it is immoral.Thank God for people like the man who tried to repair the situation. People should stand up for what they believe in like he did.

Vito has every right to fly the flag union down. He is a good man that has fought for our country. He has been fighting for his rights with the Village Board and I am very proud of him.

I agree with Vito. He has put $180,000 so far into a business. Given(approved permits ) to remodel ,to open a new business in the village, then the village says' he can't have the license'. Then people think this is fair to do to someone. The village board knew what he was going to open.
The narrow mined twit that climb the flagpole obviously did not think of finding out why the flag was upside down.

Vito has every right in the world to fly flag as he did. People need to educate themself not only on our laws, but on our country. After all the men and women who died in the Revolutionary war did so because they didnt like tyranny, so why should anyone allow what our forefathers fought for to fall to the way side???
BRAVO VITO!!!!!

This issue is really the injustice by the board to deny a United States veteran the opportunity to succeed in business. A new business in Crivtiz will open jobs and tax revenue for a town that could certainly needs it. Vito's distress sign was a direct result of local board not doing their due diligence and allowing emotions of others to drive a poor decision. The distress sign is not an attempt to disrespect our country or our veterans, and as a veteran of 2 wars, no one knows this better than Vito. Please show your support for the given rights he is fighting for here at home.

Vito and Steven are right. Crivitz is in distress. I am happy to see the people of Crivitz are supporting Vito and Steven. Both of them are veterans and would not disrespect the flag of the United States.

ARE WE NOT LIVING IN AMERICA?
ARE WE SUPPORTING OUR FREEDOM?
WHAT WE IGNOR WE LOSE!
IT IS NOT JUST UP TO OUR MEN AND WOMEN IN THE MILITARY TO DEFEND US FROM TYRANNY,oppressive power - every form of tyranny over the mind of man - Thomas Jefferson especially oppressive power exerted by government - the tyranny of a police state,BUT WE THE PEOPLE!

VITO IS A VETERAN OF IRAQ AND HE HAS WITNESSED THE DEFINITION OF TYRANNY THEN, TO RETURN HOME TO AMERICA, HE SUFFERS OPPRESSIVE POWER EXERTED BY HIS HOME TOWNS ADMINISTRATORS!
GOD BLESS YOU, VITO!

I can't believe ANYONE supports what this guy did!
I guess i shouldn't be surprised after seeing where this country is headed. The US flag is more than a piece of cloth people. If he wanted to make a point put a Crivitz flag upside down, not the US Flag. Being an Iraqi War veteran i am very disappointed in what he did.
Shame on him!

If people would listen and not judge.
It's a shame that people do not understand that the United States is under disstress. Vito has a right to fly the flag upside down. I can understand how he feels.
Everyone should be fly their flags upside down. Remember it is not a sign of disrespect, it is a sign of disstress.
