BTW i think that it is very disrespectful to judge these comments about the deceased, unless they are good, they are someone's loved one.

I remember Mike well. We had classes together. I thought he was an okay person- didn't know him too well but he was polite to me.

Yes I remember Mike Brewer. I was from another town but I thought he was cute and had a great sense of humor. I used to hate playing ball in the P'ville gym because it always reminded me of attending his funeral.

Mike Brewer was a great guy.He was alittle older than I was but I always looked up to him. When he died I can remember as a child how much it hurt.I think at that time I was about 13 years old.And people talk about sports I remember Mike playing baseball and football. He was kinda small built but had a heart the size of Texas. One of the best ball players to ever play the game. All though Mike passed away, way to young, still to this day when I walk on to any of the ball fields, and I hear who do you think was the best ball player to ever come through Portageville was. That will always be an easy one for me.Life passes by so fast.Ole Otis says live ever day like it is your last.Because it very well could be.

I played with Mike and while he wasn't the most gifted athlete to come through Portageville, he was one of the most determined. Great attitude and work ethic.

Mike would have graduated with the class of '79 if I am not mistaken- I had classes with him and was a graduate of the class of '79. I remember him very well. He rode the tradeschool bus and cut up with the other guys sometimes. I remember the football players in their uniform and can still picture Mike kneeling on one knee ( I believe) in pose for his on the ball field. I missed my reunions and have since heard that Mark Harris also passed away- another classmate of the class of '79. I simply couldn't believe that for real- he was always such a clown and always jolly and upbeat. I determined then that if at all possible, I wanted to be at the next reunion of my class!

I wasn't aware that Roger Lawson had passed away. What happened? He was so funny, he pestered me all the time in school.

I want to add my father, Leroy Musgrave, to the memorial. He was a great father, husband, friend, son, etc. and is missed dearly!!!!!!
