Why here? And who is running this out of the group? It is interesting. Oh, and I'm not as jaded as some others about this.

I just have to wonder if they know quality when they hear it. I say this because I used to sing in a storefront below where Malcolm was set up at, and I was never discovered.JK.

look here i'm not involved with any recording studio. i've recorded in before and plan on finishing up pretty soon. though Malcolm and i are like brothers, i'm not involved in any of his career affairs just like any other of friends careers. he was my friend way before he become a producer. i'm very proud of what he has acomplished. look him up on www.google.com . so i'm not responding anymore to this. because i'm the kind that likes to talk face to face. so if you know me come see me. and when i finish recording you will get a free c.d. i do my recording in memphis at ghostnotestudio's. which belongs to wain snyder (former drummer of RELLIK). so give my stuff a chance before you hide behind the computer screen and talk like a bad boy. well i'm out of here. come see me.

Go to their website and look. Honestly, I know nothing about these people. I am one of Malcolm's best friends. Sorry, this is not Malcolm.

This is Malcolm. Please don't get the two confused.

This is the guy you want doing your records. He thinks we are all from St. Louis. Knows allot about technology! Up on things.

Hey Bill, congratulations, no one said anything bad about your studio and you've just made half of Portageville your friend. Way to go dude.

It doesn't matter how it will benefit the citizens. Nobody has a claim on what this guy is doing here; that's the cool thing about technology and his line of work- he can work anywhere, even P'ville.
Whether his business deals with the people of Portageville or not, this town needs all the businesses it can get its hands on... Good for him if he wants to come back to town.

Personally, I think it will be great to have an additional business like this. I say the more the better.

Also, the more businesses like this that come in to Portageville, the more business it attracts. Also, it helps to have similar businesses like this because they can pull their resources together. Malcolm may record at Ocean Way in Nashville and then Mix the record at the House of Blues or Ardent in Memphis. This way they can support each other. Hotel rooms are needed, food is needed, laundry needs to be done. What if someone has to go to the doctor? All of these situations have come up when Malcolm has had bands in town. They can't eat out every night, groceries are purchased.

The future can hold instrument rentals. Malcolm rents guitars from locals here. I used to rent my drums out to him when we both lived in Memphis.

There are a thousand different ways to promote this if you sit down and think about it. I still have to collect sales tax if I do promotional shots. Every little bit helps.

Malcolm is also working with allot of Christian labels lately. Just got a young man signed to a Warner Brothers deal on the Christian side. Not all musicians are bad news. Most of them who are serious are people who have a business mind set. Of course, there are the acceptations but you have those anywhere in any industry.

They are just different and so is Mr. Bill's new business and idiots think that different is bad because they don't understand it. I guess that is what makes them idiots huh?

And WHO are you? You seem to know so much, yet you admit you wasn't close to those "CLOWNS". You sound like a sad bitter person. I suggest you have a nice warm cup of STFU.

One of the guys from Greenwheel told me a long time ago through MySpace that they LOVED coming to Portageville to work on their album. They said since the town has "so few distractions", they can really get into writing and recording the way it needs to be done. So if this is how artists feel who would come here to record, it makes perfect sense to put a studio here.
I'm all for it. More business means more revenue for the city as a whole, and that can't hurt, right?:)
