What a crock, do you know that anyone can go into the records department in town hall and get copies of the actual plans for the house. including all electrical systems to your safe rooms. The people in this town are so full of themselves, has anyone seen what you can see on google earth or msnlive maps. The floor plans on the field cards are just sketches and do not compromise any ones security. Its in the same vain of not releasing storm and sewer drain info on the GIS. BEWARE OF ALL THE TERRORIST AND THIEVES WHO WILL BE SWIMMING UP 12" PIPES BECAUSE THAT INFORMATION IS RELEASED.

the politicans in this town are so out of touch with their peoples wants and needs. Another great move by the idiots running the town of Greewnich like it is a fortune 500 company and not a town.

Maybe it's just that some people in this Town are way too needy!

What are the cost / benefits of having this info
on-line for the residents / tax payers?
Is this a priority for the residents?

Take a look at what Stamford puts online. Search on any road name at http://www.cityofstamford.org/apps/tax/Assess...
I wish there were more ways to look at it ... a whole street at a time, for instance. I think the level of detail is quite appropriate; it gives one enough information to determine whether the assessment is or is not logical.
I wish Stamford's assessments acknowledged that condominiums sit on valuable land; they currently float in midair. Many of them are low-rise buildings from many decades ago, which sit in choice locations, with lots of unused space that today ought to be recognized as valuable.

All of this is public information already. Putting it up on the web would make it easier for people to find needed data. This is not a privacy issue.
