Actually the quote is "the love of money is the root of all evil".

I second or third that. But to give my life up for a little money sounds pretty stupid to me.

Wouldn't the saying make more sense as "the lack of money is at the root of all evil?"

How much is this gonna cost us? Maybe he'll try to escape and it'll only cost about thirty five cents!
Please don't give me the innocent until proven guilty stuff, not with this one.

Loosers don't need a reason to kill, and he looks like one.

It's the "love of money" that's the root of all evil. They are not the same thing.

What concerns me, when you buy new windows, have your driveway paved, landscaping, snow plowing... these are potentially the kind of people who are contracted by these places to come to your house.

I'm not sure how you connect NASCAR with this crime, these people, trust me, there are alot of rich well to do law abiding people that also follow the racing circuit, sounds like your trying to group everyone together. Get off the Cross...someone needs the wood !

The Atkinson family would like to thank the Portage Police Department, Michele Kozminski and Detective Wolfe, in particular for their excellent work in apprehending Bob's killer. The investigation has been professional and thorough. We would also like to thank the police for the generosity of their comments concerning Bob, his ethics and good character, the love he gave and was given. He was a good and well loved man who did not deserve this fate in any way. We pray justice will be served.

"A detective said Atkinson was involved nothing negative that could have led to this"

Huh?

Out of respect to the family and your readers, you really should proof read the article BEFORE posting it.

Well done piece, however, Robert built his business on his own, his brother had no part of his business other than after his death he was in charge of finising the jobs that were left.

Thank you,

I used to work for this guy. I worked for him like three years ago. When I heard about this, I was saddened. I am glad they have finally caught someone. :-)
