Judged: 1 1 On the property if you were facing the house to the left there is or was a dungen type thing. It is in swampy waters so in the winter when it frozen I walked out and climbed up on it. It is a square room in the water, its been said that it will fit 18 people inside. There is some kind of old water pump in it. There is a grate type fence across the top, so that when the water was pumped in the people locked inside could'nt get out. There was or still is a door way set in a hill that you can walk in. There is a huge thick wood door that when you go in your actually walking into the hill. This room had wooden shelves on all of the walls.Im not sure what for a gun room are tool room, I think there were some kind of metal tike tools "?" that ive never seen before. Perhaps it was a wine seller far from the house or some kind of tourter room. I guess theres not much left I went recently but I went at night an I couldnt see it so im going to go some time this week in the day this is a very known area around her there are tons of stories that come along with pergatory "tons" Its really creepy and if you havent been there you cant judge. I hope when I go there are some things left. This house was old, solid, beautiful and scary as hell. It really sucks what some people do. If you want to try to see it for your self and if these rooms are still there you have to be pretty brave. You will have to get out You can see the square room from the road if its still there. It should be, its not attatched to the house. so if your going have fun ("""take your camera"""" ")!! and while your out there you should stop to see brick Chaple Church!!!! |

Sorry I didnt give spacifics to where the house is at. It is located in both Cass County and St Joe County. The property lies in both it is not in one or the other.
Adam from sturgis is rite it is a short way from contsantine. It is about 10 min. from Mottville Mi. and 15,20 min. from white pigeon. If I remember rite you take M-103 to the camel bridge. Turn left, then turn right on the first road . You take this untill you come to a dirt road on the left follow this to the second stop sign. This will be a dead end turn right. This should still be a dirt road. You will come to a church on the left side. "this is not Brick Chapel Church". Just keep following this road its a long road but youll come across it. There is a old youth camp across from Al Capones house. This camp has a story all in its self. Any way at the camp it is very abandoned and I heard this was also set fire at a different time. At the side of the road is a single basketball hoop this place is very creepy but if tou find it your in the rite spot. GOOD LUCK |

Al Capone also used to stay at the Muhammed Ali house on Kephart Lane in Berrien Springs.

Holly Dyess, writer of many publicized short stories, makes reference to what I believe to be "The Flynn Mansion" mentioned , She points out (changing the names to protect-whatever),Al capone was reputed to have taken up, as a hide out/summer home at "The Graham Mansion" on the road of the same name. That would be the "Flynn Mansion" on "Flynn Road" in Sawyer, Michigan.

There is definitly a 'Flynn Mansion' and it is located on Flynn road. I have been inside before, and in the basement there are big squares of different colored bricks in the wall where passages used to be. Also, it is rumored that the man who lives with his family in the house now was working in the garage one day, and while he was trying to knock a board off the wall, he noticed a sudden chill as he looked above him and saw a crusafix hanging above him. The crusafix is definitly there, as I have seen it. The house is on a fenced in area, and right outside of one of the corners of the property, there is a little cement passage that has been filled with cement, but is still very visible. I have heard from a girl that babysits at this house that there is an attic that doesn't have an entrance, or if it does, it is very hidden, but you can see the attic from outside of the house. It's a little bit creepy.

I've been there many years ago, I live in Three Oaks and have all my life. He may have had lots of homes in and around Michigan but he stayed in Three Oaks most of the time because it was so close to Chicago. I've been in the tunnels and looked in the windows of the house. It really was very beautiful. I can remember seeing his car driving through Three Oaks to get to his house on Flynn Road. It was creepy, some of the stories you'd hear from the ole timers in Three Oaks that know more about him then I do. And, Mike AOL - you read it in the paper because it was in the paper about 5 months ago. Many people have tried to live there with the same story and chose to leave. I've been at the landing dock in the woods behind his house where he would sneak people and guns and whatever through that area so he wasn't caught. Years ago the woods behind that house was very dense and rough way to get back there to the river. There were secret passages and my friends and I found it but I've never told anyone, we were to scared. After all we were just kids. But it was exciting.

I grew up in a home in Stevensville, Michigan that was supposedly owned by his accountant and Al stayed there frequently. It was on Glenlord Road near Lake Michigan.
The house was on 15 acres on a big revene and had a full walk in bank vault in the basement. 1-1/2 foot thick walls and had two seperate steel doors. The outer door was a combination and the inner door was key only. The house had iron grates on the basement windows and the house had 3 seperate tunnels leading out of the basement. One to the barn, one to the revene and the other we could not find the exit. Very large home (5500 sq ft) and a long driveway with gates at the road. |

CEO you wouldn't by chance have or could fine the exact address of the house you lived in? I could then find more info on the former owner and if they were one of Capon's accountants

2135 West Glenlord Road
Stevensville, Michigan 49127 It's was an interesting house to say. I would like to also find out if it was owned by one of Al's associates. There were rumors all the time told to me while I grew up there. I remember someone suggesting Irwin (sp) was the last name and then it was purchased by a local Doctor. The property also has a gravestone on it (Castor, April 1945). Wonder if it was a pet or something. See what ya can dig up.(pun intended) |

I am wondering if Al had a home, or stayed with someone who had a home along Rte. 12, Chicago Rd, in or near Somerset, Michigan. There is a little park there now, but it is rumored to have had a home there that he stayed at.

He also frequented a home in St. Joe, MI, right on the river. He would visit and stay there via the river from Chicago. It does have a sort of "secret passage" from the home, all the way down the bluff to the river. They would go across Lake Michigan into St. Joe harbor and then take small boats and dock at this home. It is in the mid part of St. Joe in an older neighboorhood.
