Good someone finally got caught and hopefully will get prosecuted to the fullest degree... People should know better than to copy the movie at the theater. Just goes to show you also that the person who was to be walking the isle was not there that night. That is pretty hard to keep from anyone else at teh theater.

They probably downloaded the screeners online. Most aren't recorded in theaters, but ripped from a screening copy of the movie.

Yeah....I have read SO MANY 4 or 5 sentence articles on Wood.... Just enough to let me know to then go elsewhere for the story. The other sources ALWAYS have more facts and information. Do they outsource their reporting to India?

Well, to take a line from the let's make dope legal crowd, why was he arrested? He didn't hurt anyone, right? He should be able to do as he pleases, in his own house, right?

It always amazes me how stuff like this is actually news. They don't bother to report that the guy is probably just trying to make a buck to stay afloat. We just have to protect the rights of the already rich.
Also, no one seemed to notice that the officer dropped his joint in the mans vehicle.

You are ignorant. It makes mews because we need to send the message to people that, no matter how desperate you think you are, if you need to make a buck, you should do it LEGALLY.

Yeah, I do apologize for my outburst! I should always keep in mind that making money the good fashioned way (with honesty and integrity) is the way to go.

This is how companies like Blackwater, Cybernet, Alticor, and Enron made their fortunes.

Some guy selling DVD's out of his trunk is the real problem after all.

Oh, and thanks for calling me ignorant! I always love a compliment.

By the way, I wonder if you or your family has any MP3's on their computers. Wouldn't want to be engaging in any illegal activities now would we?

Oh, I noticed that I forgot to ask you if you had ILLEGAL MP3's. I just put MP3 in my last post, forgetting to ask about the legality of the music you or your family may enjoy.

It's illegal to make these movies that's why they were in trouble. Yes Mark, smoking pot is illegal also but if you buy it then you should be able to do it in your own home. These people making these dvds are stealing. The people that make these are people that are just too lazy to get a real job. Yeah, the people that benefit from the profits of dvds probably are rich but they're doing their jobs and should be payed for it. Same as downloading music. That's still stealing. You may be surprised to learn that bands don't make as much money as people think they do! So when you download music off of the internet these bands aren't getting paid for that same as your movies.

Would you go into the store and steal stuff and then turn around and sell it on the streets or out of your car? No. Why? Because that's illegal. It's no different really.

Maybe I just feel this way because I'm a music promoter and a huge movie collector. I have over 400 dvd's and have promoted bands on a national and local level and own hundreds of cd's. That could be part of the reason I think it's wrong but the big reason is because it's stealing!

Absolutly!!! But you can also get arrested for having sex with your spouse in public. Our "rules" are so contradicting! Don't we live in america?
