Such a sad, sad story. Lets hope this teen learns a lesson from this tragic event & can turn her life around for the positive. Kids just dont realize how dangerous drugs can be until something like this happens.

Yeah great... they are charging the other girl however the girl that died CHOSE to do the drugs that led to her death.. they can blame someone else all day but ultimately and sadly, it's only her fault for making the wrong choices :(

Teenagers and drugs. Kids just don't know how serious drugs can be. This is a sad ending for one young girl and her family.

I, too, hope this 17 year old can get her life on track and make something of herself.

If you willingly take the drugs yourself, it's YOUR fault if you die. To charge the other girl with anything more than possession is ridiculous.

Im happy to hear that the other one got charged with her death. Thats the way it should be with EVERY overdose! They find evidence of you selling it to her then you go down if she dies. Maybe then all these drug pushers can gather whats left of their brain cells & start scratching their heads & FINALLY start using their brains!!

It's too bad that it's easier for a 17 yr old to get herion then it is for them to get beer. I'm not saying this junk should be legalized but look at the Netherlands where marijuana is legal. Their teens are using less of that then ours and they are using far less of the harder drugs then our teens.

So how come when people under the influence of alcohol overdose and die the alcohol companies aren't charged? How come the alcohol companies aren't charged when a drunk driver kills innocent people? How about when someone under the influence of alcohol beats someone to death? How about when a woman is assaulted and/or raped by someone under the influence of alcohol(which happense every single day)? How come the alcohol companies aren't charged? I guess it's easier to go after the "little guys" huh? Alcohol kills more people each year than all illegal drugs combined. How come no news outlet will cover that aspect of stories like this? Don't be afraid of the facts! No free passes for alcohol companies! They need to be held accountable.

Unfortunately in this country alcohol companies have lots of lobbiest who help keep relatively safe drugs like marijuana illegal. The alcohol companies also donate to all the "anti-drug" organizations and the so-called "anti-drug" organizations gladly accept those donations even though the alcohol companies are nothing more than legal drug dealers who push a drug that kills more people than all illegal drugs combined. The so-called anti-drug programs, our uptight society, and our absurd laws force teens/adults to turn to harder drugs such as heroin, prescription pills (found in their parents medicine cabinets), and/or alcohol often found in their parents homes. In addition, we live in an uptight society in the US where parents (and others) simply can't face the facts - some teens/adults will use "drugs" or mind altering substances no matter what the laws say. It's just a fact of life and has been since the beginning of time. No laws will stop it and not allowing "soft" drugs like pot to be used will cause teens/adults to use other drugs which in most if not all cases are far more addictive and dangerous than marijuana.

UNless she purposefully injected her with enough heroin to kill her she should not be charged. Are gun companies charged when someon commits suicide with a gun?

You'd feel the same way if she OD'd on one of my crack rocks? Look at the entire picture.
