The old road is in pieces throughout the 7-mile stretch, with some construction beginning on the new road.

We don't have much to look forward to here by the time October comes. The Lions are already effectively out of competition. This freeway opening will be welcomed. You can't go E-W without bumper to bumper and you can't cross it NS without a delay for the bridge work. You can expect a cloud of dust over the zone at any time. Businesses must be hurting. Residents see dirt on everything. Breathing cement dust is a health hazard they don't consider. I have to cross it at least one round trip per day. Pity those that live there or deliver goods.
Work seems fast and furious. Maybe they can earn the bonus and finish early, but don't expect more than a few days.

They are really moving along. They better all of the mile roads are bumper to bumper. Makes it a nightmare to get out of a subdivision
