1. When you need a contractor for an emergency repair, where do you look to find the contractor you want?
A. Yellow Pages AT+T?
B. Yellow Book?
C. Sticker on water heater, furnace, electric panel?
D. Magnet on refrigerator?
E. Business card?
F. Newspaper, magazine,other printed material?
H. Remember radio/TV ad?
I. Already know who to call, used them before?
J. Call a friend for a referral?
K. Go to Big Box Store and hire it done?
2. When you start to plan a project, where do you look to find the contractor you want to ask for an estimate?
3. Does it make a difference if the contractor has a clean, well maintained vehicle, signage and is licensed and insured?
4. Would you hire an un-licensed person representing themselves as a contractor if they were cheaper than a licensed/insured contractor?
We are a contracting group and very interested in what the general public's opinion is. Please feel free to answer freely and honestly.
